Nancy Mace Makes Another Butthole Statement

Nancy Mace Makes Another Butthole Statement

As far as the Republican Party goes, Nancy Mace is the Mitt Romney of Liz Cheneys. Like Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney, she is a harpy within the Republican Party. Grasping and scolding are her calling cards. She puts the Hale No in RINO. Hmmmm. Nancy is looking a little refreshed these days. Could be just a deep pore cleansing and better makeup application. One must be camera ready when MSNBC comes calling with a sound-bite worthy quote scolding your own party. The first woman to graduate from The Citadel’s Corps of Cadets shows no honor in assuming that all women think as she does and that the Republicans are being “assholes to women”. If she hates Republicans so much, maybe she would be happier in the Democrat Party, where all children are disposable.

Our dear Nancy was defending her vote for the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) when she chose to blame her fellow Republicans for being assholes to women. This is Nancy the Rebel. This is Nancy the Maverick. This is Nancy being her own woman. It’s not her fault that the rest of her party are assholes. See, folks, that’s how that works when you have no honor.

Her current angst regarding the NDAA has it’s roots back in April when Miss Mace said that the Food & Drug Administration should ignore a judges ruling that the abortifacient mifepristone was unsafe. Because that’s what a person with no honor does, they ignore laws and judges rulings and replace them with their own feelings.

That brings us to the NDAA. Republicans are, in general, anti-abortion. We believe all life is precious. Where abortion is legal, a woman and her partner should be responsible for the costs of ending a life. The taxpayers should not be made to foot the bill. Nancy Mace was not well-pleased by a piece in the NDAA:

Republicans in the House of Representatives — along with Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar — voted to ban military service members from being able to reimburse abortion-related travel and expenses, rankling GOP Rep. Nancy Mace.
“We should not be taking this fucking vote, man,” Mace was overheard saying by a reporter with Politico. “Fuck. It’s an asshole move, an asshole amendment.”
The vote occurred on Thursday evening, as the House gathered to vote on amendments to the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which sets the spending and policy limits for the Pentagon. While Republicans also voted on amendments to eliminate DEI programs and gender-affirming care coverage for service members, the most controversial amendment was Rep. Ronny Jackson’s related to abortion care services, which now that it’s passed in the House, all but guarantees the NDAA won’t pass the Senate.

Curing doesn’t bother me. It does, however, show a lack of respect for Miss Mace’s colleagues. Well, not only was she overheard in the House. She gave an interview in the parking lot where she reiterated her point:

So stunning. So brave. What in the cornbread Hell does being a suburban woman and girl Mom have to do with anything, Karen, er, Nancy? If she lived in a big city and had boys would that change the rightness or wrongness of her position. Several days after the vote, she defended her NDAA “yes” vote:

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins pushed Mace on her vote on the National Defense Authorization Act during Friday’s The Source, working in a quote from the representative’s own words from a stand-up interview with the network outside the Capitol: “And you said yesterday — and I’m quoting you now — that your party needs to ‘stop being a**holes to women.’ So, why did you vote for this today?”

“I want to be consistent on military policy and whether travel — because this is very specific to travel — the military does not pay for abortion services at all,” Mace said. “But this was strictly related to travel. And the military does not in any other case reimburse for travel expenses for elective procedures.”
Mace has criticized the GOP’s messaging and strategy on abortion, claiming it influenced swing voters against Republicans in the 2022 midterm elections. The congresswoman also urged the Food and Drug Administration and President Joe Biden to ignore the court ruling suspending the approval of mifepristone, the drug used to induce an abortion. She is up for reelection in 2024.
“I did not like the idea of this amendment,” Mace went on. “These are not issues that I believe we should be voting on right now without some consideration of what we can do to protect women and show that we’re pro-women, which has been my frustration for the better part of the last seven months.”

How is murder or possible harm to a woman from Mifepristone a “pro-women” position? Nancy Mace is a four-square, full-on hypocrite. I give you Exhibit A:

Please, Miss Mace, join the Democrats, you’ll fit right in. We, assholes, would want to hold you back.

She’s my congress-critter and I voted for her (actually, I would have voted against Joe Cunningham no matter which (R) was running). SC1 has a bit of a history of unsavory representatives (including the hero of the Appalachian Trail–Mark Sanford). At some point, Nancy needs to understand that her base has little interest in her grandstanding.

To the media and the dems (But I repeat myself), she’s one of the Good Ones.

Past time to give up on the Republican party.

  • GWB says:

She’s a Progressive. This is a problem with a lot of Republicans (and comes from letting elites run the party for decades) – and has caused the common modern mistake of confusing “Republican” and “conservative.”

  • […] Mace has said and done some boneheaded things in the past. From talking about her sex life at a prayer breakfast to calling the rest of her party a bunch of a$$holes: […]
