Mozilla Scandal: OKCupid’s CEO Also Donated To Anti-Gay Candidate

Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich resigned last week over a big kerfluffle about him donating to a campaign against gay rights in 2008.  The tolerance police came out in full force, and in true gay mafia fashion they shut down anyone who dared question them.  (As anyone knows, the definition of “tolerance” is “Agree With Me Or I Will Ruin You.”)

Hang on to your feather boas, ladies, because this scandal just got juicier.  It turns out that OKCupid’s CEO did exactly the same thing as Eich—donated money to a cause (in this case, a Congressman) against the gay agenda.  In other words, it’s like Barney Frank accusing someone of running a brothel out of their home.  Smells like a well-used bathhouse.

Considering OKCupid also uses Javascript—the scripting language that Eich invented—it would seem that this whole sloppy mess is more about scoring points with the gay crowd and a lot less about standing for beliefs.  While OKCupid pushed forward with blocking Firefox users in an effort to show how much they Really Mean It, there’s no word on whether they’re going to change up their entire site to also stop using the language designed by that awful, awful man who Doesn’t Like Gay People Because He’s A Big Fat Racist.  Should we hold our breath?

You obviously have no idea what you’re talking about. OkCupid didn’t block Firefox users. There was a link allowing users to continue on to the OkCupid site.

Also, there is a difference between donating directly to a cause versus donating to a person. It’s like saying if you donated to Obama you’ve also donated against gay marriage.

    For example:
“I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage.”
    – Barack Obama
“What I believe, in my faith, is that a man and a woman, when they get married, are performing something before God, and it’s not simply the two persons who are meeting.”
    – Barack Obama
“I have been to this point unwilling to sign on to same-sex marriage primarily because of my understandings of the traditional definitions of marriage . . .”
    – Barack Obama

Your blog post is a pathetic attempt to get some kind of SEO. Get your facts straight.
