The fraud in Minnesota is so extensive, it will take years to uncover it all. Most egregiously is that those who this money was supposed to help either weren’t helped or are ghosts. Prime example? A daycare center with no kids and a misspelled sign.
A YouTuber by the name of Nick Shirley decided to investigate after the mainstream news finally broke the stories of the fraud wide open.
The man held up a paper that appeared to show $1.9 million had been disbursed to the center in fiscal year 2025, adding that the total disbursement to the center that he had recorded was $4 million.
“Go away. You’re not welcome here. Shame on you,” the woman told Shirley. It remained unclear whether the woman had any association with the center.
“Are you in favor of $1.9 million going illegally/fraudulently to this business that [is called] ‘Quality Learning Center’ but can’t spell ‘learning’ right on the door?”
Yes, the sign spells it “LEARING” instead of Learning. Furthermore, it’s obvious that this daycare has some issues. A. Where are the kids? B. That daycare has faced scrutiny before. As in last January and even years prior.
The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) confirmed to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS its Office of Inspector General has 62 active investigations into family child care and child care centers in the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) across the state.
5 EYEWITNESS NEWS looked into some of the child care centers that receive the most of the federal funding available in the CCAP program which is regulated by DHS.
One day care center in Minneapolis, Quality Learning Center Daycare, had 95 violations between 2019 and 2023, according to DHS records. Those violations range from “failure to keep hazardous items away from children” to “no records for 16 children.” In 2022, DHS placed the facility on a conditional license.
But, state records showed Quality Learning Center Daycare still received $7.8 million in federal tax money since 2019 despite its regulatory issues. Its conditional license was removed in 2024.
Did no one ever stop to think that that amount of violations should warrant the daycare being SHUT DOWN??!! I mean c’mon guys!

As quite a number of folks have noted, the subjugation and humiliation are the point. Furthermore, it wouldn’t surprise me if the pandering is in hopes that all this fraud talk will magically disappear. No, no it will not.
Tim Walz has a fraud problem. He knows it and has even known some of the convicted fraudsters. Ilhan Omar was responsible for promoting and implementing a meals program that is in the epicenter of the rampant fraud.
The Jimmy Choo wearing socialist introduced the MEALS Act in Congress in 2020, relaxing oversight of government sponsored children’s meals programs during the pandemic, with critics say allowed fraudsters to claim they served millions of meals without verification, while pocketing millions of dollars in government subsidies.
It really does make you wonder how Ilhan suddenly went from broke to $30 million richer in the span of mere years. Particularly in light of the meals programs fraud, millions worth, in her state.
Again, the scope of this is just breathtaking. What is infuriating is that the state agencies and the state government KNEW all along that fraud was being committed at all levels. And they’ve done nothing.
There is not one single STATE case against these fraudsters. The cases are all federal. ALL of them.
Yet we have everyone involved trying to run away from addressing the issues. But Tim Walz, Keith Ellison, Peggy Flanagan, and Ilhan Omar among others can no longer hide from this.

MN mayors are warning of escalating property taxes due to the wide-ranging fraud, and the SBA has frozen $5.5 million in aid until investigations are concluded.
It isn’t just the daycares. It’s the autism centers and healthcare centers as well.
In addition to Walz and crew, those running the state agencies need to be investigated ASAP. Heck, they need to do a full sweep of the agencies and start from scratch.
Minnesota DHS isn’t even doing site visits for businesses taking MILLIONS in Medicaid funds.

Cut off the entire gravy train ASAP. Shut down the daycare centers and conduct full sweeping audits on EVERYONE from state agencies to the LEARING centers. And fully prosecute all hose who’ve been involved.
Consequences must happen. That’s the only way to get this dealt with.
