Merry Christmas! At my house, we love lots of bright Christmas lights, a beautifully decorated tree with cherished ornaments collected over the years, and stockings hung by the chimney with care. We love Christmas movies, Christmas cookies, and Christmas carols. We pray for our military serving across the globe and for the families across the country with an empty chair at their dinner table. We really dig Santa. We believe giving is great and receiving is fun too.

However, for my family, Christmas is about the birth of the Savior and we never get tired of the Christmas story.
In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened.
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
“This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.” -Luke 2: 9-14 (NAS)
When the Savior was born, all the angels of heaven sang with great joy. Did they sound like Aretha? I think maybe.
This year from all of us at Victory Girls Blog, we wanted to take the time to let you know we’ve appreciated your tireless support, encouragement, and friendship. We’ve also enjoyed immensely the sharp elbows, and arguments fun discussions when we may have disagreed. So thank you for being here, friends. You are our gift.
Merry Christmas from our homes, to yours.

First thought on the picture up top:
Now THAT‘s a Christmas present I appreciate!
Second thought:
OMG! That’s Kathy Griffin!
(No, that’s a mask, you ninny – 3rd thought)
(And she’s a hottie. Kathy Griffin is NOT – 4th thought)
Thank you, Kate, for another year of Victory Girls. You ladies even attract higher class trolls than some other blogs. 😉
And, please, even when we criticize, keep producing quality writing. We do love it here.
