It’s bad enough to hear the wails and lamentations from Leftwing women about Elizabeth Warren folding up her Peoples Teepee and retreating to her humble abode for a beer and crab omelets. But we also have to hear from mamas about how this is absolutely crushing the hopes and dreams of their little girls.
I shared the news of @ewarren's exit with my 12 year old daughter tonight. Her response wasn’t of sadness or anger.
It was much worse than that.
A thread. 1/x

The start of a long, self-indulgent attempt at humble-bragging about her woker-than-woke female offspring. Pagoto regales us with sprout’s campaigning for Hillary when she was 8 years old, attending the woke-celeb-driven March For Our Lives at 10 and now, fours years after HRC, mama’s wild expectations for Fauxahontas.
It appears that grooming your child to political theater and publicizing it on social media is the 21st century update of the archetypical stage mother. During those precious few years when children can be just children with worries no greater than completing homework or pushing back on bedtimes, Sprout Pagoto was convinced that Warren is out due to the evil Patriarchy. Rational mamas would have tried to dissuade such emoting by pointing out that Warren lost because Democrat Women took a pass on her. Oh no. It’s time to blame men and inculcate a resentment of males as a class to explain the failure of a lousy candidate with lady bits.
So what can I do now to revive her spirit? At 12, she’s too hardened for the innocent hope generated by pinky promises.
Do I wait 4 years to hatch a new plan to reinvigorate her 16 year old self? What if we’re in hard times again?
What if we need to be SAFE again?

Mama Pagoto should be looking in the mirror if sprout is too “hardened” at age 12 for pinky promises. Taking her to political marches rather than camping trips or piano recitals or ::::gasp:::: Sunday school not only stripped her of the buffer of childhood innocence while she emotionally matured, but made leftwing politics her identity rather than just an interest. One might think that a clinical psychologist like Sherry Pagoto would know better. :::cough:::cough:::
However, it actually isn’t just about voting lady bits. That is always the fools’ game.
I think what you’re really telling me is that you think Elizabeth Warren is supposed to be the president because she’s a woman and “it’s time.”
I’m telling you that’s ridiculous. Furthermore, it’s the type of hubris that brought down Hillary Clinton. Even more furthermore, it lets female candidates off the hook and absolves them of the responsibility to be good candidates. That is how you get dangerous and unqualified leadership. If we lower the bar based on genitals, we’ll get what we deserve.
Rather, Mama Pagoto, like Hillary and Warren and others of the Left’s subsidiary Feminist Division, don’t actually support Women. They studiously ignore Republican, Libertarian and Conservative women.
[let’s not tell her that Prime Minister of Norway, Iron Lady Erna Solberg is member of the center-right Conservative Party, shall we? Pinky promise?] Ahem.I will tell her about…
Jacinda in New Zealand,
Katrín in Iceland,
Sahle-Work in Ethiopia,
Simonetta in Switzerland,
Erna in Norway.14/x

There have been, and will continue to be, women who rise to the top politically because they appeal to the majority of voters. Failure at the polls is no indication of a grand conspiracy of penises telling vaginas to step aside.
And it’s no excuse for mamas to teach their daughters that there is.

This is the type of mother that creates a Greta Thunberg. That’s not parenting. That’s brainwashing.
Bullseye..
Best I explain that I agree with you.
I am not against female politicians. However, I am against gender feminist politicians. Believe that hating forty-seven percent of the population is a losing proposition.
Less than 4 years ago a woman won the nomination for the Dems. Meanwhile, a black man was serving as president for his second term. Shortly before that, a woman was a running mate as VP for the GOP. By my count, in the 21st century, blacks and women have been represented really well.
I have no problem voting for women if the women in question have the politics of a Thatcher. But I am never going to vote for a Clinton, a Warren or a Harris. The reason there’s never been a female president in this country is because there’s never been a Thatcher-like option.
Let’s see how these feminists respond when Haley runs in 2024.
because Democrat Women took a pass on her
Could you link an article for this? I’ve seen this statement made, but have yet to see numbers associated with it. And having numbers that you could push in front of certain folks would be very handy.
Taking her to political marches rather than … Sunday school
Oh, but she DID! See, this is what I mean by “progressivism is a religion.” She inculcated her belief system very thoroughly in that little girl. She has told her the “old, old story” of Patriarchal Oppression, and filled her head with the “Salvation Through Feminism” as she lies down and as she rises, and has made sure she is ready to worship their god, Abortion (previously known as Molech).
This woman has ABSOLUTELY taken her daughter to their particular form of “Sunday School”.
(Also, on that list of women, I note the absence of Thatcher, whom Bill S. mentions. Wonder if it’s avoidance or if she – being a younger woman – is just ignorant of the Iron Lady’s time leading one of the great nations?)
I am the dramatic star of my own movie, or I am nothing.
Robbing a young girl of her chiildhood.
Remember, the Woke get extra points for having non functional, traumatized children.
If the poor girl grows up into a fragile flower who cannot leave the house because the outside world frightens her, then so much the better in that world.
Hush now, baby, baby, don’t you cry
Mamma’s gonna make all of your nightmares come true
Mamma’s gonna put all of her fears into you
Mamma’s gonna keep you right here, under her wing
She won’t let you fly, but she might let you sing
Mamma’s gonna keep baby cosy and warm
Ooooh, babe
Ooooh, babe
Ooh, babe
Of course, Mamma’s gonna help build the wall
