Should Laura Loomer Move to Georgia?

Conservative commentator Laura Loomer set off a fresh wave of speculation Saturday by openly teasing a possible move to Georgia after President Donald Trump withdrew his endorsement of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene in a blistering late-night Truth Social post.

Loomer, a staunch Trump ally with roughly 1.8 million followers on X, posted that the president told her he wanted Greene “primaried,” then asked her audience a pointed question.

“Should I move to Georgia?” she asked.

Her post, paired with Trump’s Truth Social message calling Greene a “ranting lunatic,” immediately triggered questions about whether Loomer is positioning herself as a potential challenger in Georgia’s 14th Congressional District. – Fox News

You outlived your usefulness to the movement.

I say this as someone who has defended Marjorie Taylor Greene more than once. MTG can be wild and exhausting, but she has also been one of MAGA’s most reliable soldiers. MTG stood with Trump even when it scorched her politically. She has a 92 percent conservative rating from Heritage Action for the 118th Congress. Marjorie shows up, she votes, and she does the job.

Unfortunately, it appears she has lost her way. I admit I’ve seen it coming for a while, but I didn’t want to throw her under the bus just yet. However, Trump seems to be done with her.

Now, the loony leeching Loomer is salivating.

I’m not sure what video Laura Loomer thinks she saw, because MTG did not apologize to Democrats, and she certainly did not attack Trump. She stated that ending toxic political fighting would be a good thing. She says she still supports Donald Trump and the administration.

There Is No Comeback for MTG

In today’s Republican Party, none of that buys you grace. Not when every unsanctioned comment becomes fuel for the purity police. Greene praised Nancy Pelosi’s ability to deliver votes. She questioned foreign policy choices. She stepped outside the approved tone more than once. All of it added up, and the outrage crowd acted like nuance was a threat to the movement.

Bottom line, MTG is finished. There is no comeback waiting for her. In this party, one critical word about Trump is enough to end a political career, and she crossed that line more than once.

That is exactly why Loomer is easing herself into the frame. She sees emptiness she can exploit. She wants attention, not leadership.

Her Third Attempt at Relevance

Loomer has tried this before. She ran for Congress in Florida in 2020 and lost. She ran again in 2022 and lost in the primary. Two runs, two defeats, zero momentum. None of that stopped her from acting like she is destined for higher office. Losing never slowed her down. It only pushed her deeper into the spotlight she lives on. At this point, it would not surprise me if Trump endorsed her for MTG’s seat just to make the drama even louder.

Loomer thrives on drama.

The moment a spotlight swings her direction, she grows louder. Suddenly, she is hinting at a move to Georgia because Trump wants Greene primaried. If Laura Loomer has a specialty, it is clinging to Trump close enough to polish his custom Italian shoes without being asked.

No, Loomer has not filed paperwork or made an announcement, and she is not even pretending to run. But this is how it always starts. She tosses out a tease, watches the reaction, and waits to see if the attention spike is strong enough to turn the performance into a campaign.

Yes, Laura, he probably would endorse you.

I voted for Trump. But sometimes he gets on my nerves with his pettiness. The Loomer flirtation does not help. The late-night commentary about Thomas Massie remarrying after losing his wife did not help either. I do not need every thought inside his head blasted into the universe in real time. The movement needs leadership. Not personal commentary. Not impulsive decisions that turn into political earthquakes.

Meanwhile, Republicans have stopped fighting Democrats and turned inward. We are eating our own. We elevate a firebrand, use them until they become inconvenient, then toss them aside for someone even more combustible. MTG versus Loomer is not real politics. It is a live-action mood swing. It is emotional theater pretending to be strategy.

We Can’t Be Serious

Since we’re being so literal lately, if Trump eventually endorses Laura Loomer, then God bless Georgia. God bless the fourteenth district. And God bless whoever has to moderate that debate. At that point, the GOP will not even be choosing leaders. It will be choosing characters for the next viral episode.

This kind of infighting isn’t just embarrassing. It is political suicide. While Republicans claw at each other over personalities and drama, Democrats are organizing, fundraising, and preparing for the midterms. If we keep burning down our own house, we are going to hand them the 2026 election on a silver platter.
