A very illuminating interview, given by Teamsters President Sean O’Brien regarding Kamala Harris, has shed some light on why Democrats are now finding themselves in a political wilderness.
While talking to Tucker Carlson, O’Brien talked about how he could see the decline in Joe Biden.
The union president said he had met Biden before he ended his reelection bid and was concerned at his decline — saying the Democrats’ initial plan to run the 82-year-old for a second term “kinda looked like elderly abuse.”
“We had Biden in there and you could just clearly tell he was not the man he was. It was kinda sad,” O’Brien said, adding that Biden was a good president for workers.
The mainstream media has only just begun to turn over the rock of Biden’s senility – which they barely nudged back in July, when he was forced to drop out – but it is telling that O’Brien, having decided that “Biden was good for workers,” was more concerned about what the Teamsters could get out of a president, and not be concerned enough to speak out about the obvious mental decline he had witnessed. Sean O’Brien is no hero – he’s a union leader looking for the politician who will give him the most goodies. And if a senile Joe Biden was going to give away the store to him, then he would not say nay.
But once Biden was out of the race, the Teamsters – despite O’Brien’s appearance and speech at the RNC – wanted to hear from Kamala Harris. Again, this is about backing the candidate who aligns best with the union’s goals, not the country’s best interests. However, Kamala absolutely burned bridges with O’Brien, thanks to her weaponized incompetence. The meeting was described at the time as “tense,” but O’Brien is now spilling the tea on just what Kamala said.
O’Brien said Harris finally agreed to sit with the Teasmstars for a roundtable after President Biden dropped out of the race, just to only answer a quarter of their 16 questions. Other candidates, including Trump, answered them all.
“On the fourth question, one of her operatives or one of her staff slips a note in front of me — ‘This will be the last question.’ And it was 20 minutes earlier than the time it was going to end,” O’Brien told Carlson.
“And her declaration of the way out was, ‘I’m going to win with you or without you,’’ he recalled.
Carlson quipped, “Damn. I thought I was arrogant. That’s really arrogant.”
O’Brien said he contacted Biden’s former Secretary of Labor Marty Walsh to talk about the vice president.
“Let me ask you a question, Marty. Excuse my French. Who does this f–king lady think she is?” he remembered asking Walsh, who is now the head of the NHL Players’ Association.

Of course, even the arrogance of Kamala Harris wasn’t enough for Sean O’Brien to directly oppose her. As we all remember, the best that the Teamsters leadership could do was chicken out and not endorse anyone, after it became obvious that the rank-and-file were voting overwhelmingly for Donald Trump. Only now that Kamala Harris has lost can Sean O’Brien put her snotty attitude on blast.
But it is that same arrogance that now has Democrats scratching their heads as the pundits try to figure out where they went so wrong.
On Monday, the New York Times organized an “online written discussion,” moderated by contributing opinion writer Frank Bruni and featuring progressive campaign consultant Anat Shenker-Osorio, Democratic communications strategist Lis Smith, and ex-Ohio representative Tim Ryan.
The group convened to dissect the Democratic Party’s condition following their harsh election losses in November.
Bruni kicked off the conversation by noting the once formidable resistance party was in utter disarray, unable, really, to pinpoint how they got carpet-bombed on November 5th. He inquired as to what this panel believed to be the biggest issue.
Smith, who once served as senior advisor for Pete Buttigieg’s 2020 presidential campaign, didn’t hold back, coming right out of the gates with a brutal takedown.
“The Democratic brand is in the toilet,” she announced.
However, perhaps the most critical aspect of Smith’s analysis is this: The only candidates with a “D” next to their names who performed well in the election ran as far away from the “D” label as humanly possible.
“Many of the Democrats who succeeded this cycle — our best over-performers in House races, for instance — are people who ran against the Democratic Party brand,” she commented.
“Trump tore down the blue wall in the industrial Midwest, but he also expanded his vote the most in our bluest and most urban areas.”
Bruni replied to the “toilet” comment with the word “Yikes,” and wondered if Smith was being too harsh with her opinion. But Smith refused to apply the brakes.
“When the best way to win as a candidate is to run against your own party, it’s that bad,” she replied.
I really didn’t need this as a Christmas gift, but I’ll take it. I’ll also take some popcorn. It’s honestly hilarious that the pundit class is so broken that when someone speaks truth, like Lis Smith here, they can’t possibly accept that they were wrong. Arrogance. They have it in spades.
Which is also probably while some groups have begun running polls for 2028. Why? For shits and giggles? This makes no sense, but it does tell you that Democrats still haven’t figured anything out AT ALL. Interactive Polls discovered that Kamala Harris would currently win the Democrat nomination – mostly because she is the only candidate with national name recognition.

But then American Pulse decided to take this one step further. Look, Kamala is leading J.D. Vance by ONE POINT in a 2028 matchup!

Will someone please cut off their eggnog supply? And take their keys? They are obviously too smashed to be trusted with anything, much less a 2028 presidential poll before the winner of the 2024 election is even sworn in.
But it is exactly this kind of wishcasting and arrogance that has typified the Democrats for the last several years, and nothing is apparently going to change. Add to that the fact that the Democrats are now leaderless. Joe Biden will be incapable of exercising any of the traditional ex-presidential power on his own party, Barack Obama’s profile as a kingmaker is greatly diminished, Nancy Pelosi is laid up with a broken hip, and neither Chuck Schumer or Hakeem Jeffries have the same kind of iron control of their caucuses. Kamala Harris’s name keeps popping up because the Democrats have literally cultivated no other options at this point.
Her entitlement and stupidity cost her the election. If we are very fortunate, that same attitude will continue to live in the Democrat party, and cost them many more elections in years to come.

“Will someone please cut off their eggnog supply? And take their keys?”… HELL NO! Feed them more! smile and nod! Encourage them that they are on the right track! I can’t think of ANYTHING that would be better for this nation than that match-up! The results would likely make this years outcome look like a win for the demonrats…
Joe Biden will be incapable of exercising any of the traditional ex-presidential power on his own party. Let’s be honest.. Joe will be dead before the next election.
Barack Obama’s profile as a kingmaker is greatly diminished. The fact that “black jesus” ever had the kind of power he did speaks to the low intelligence of the average demonrat voter, and their shallowness and ability to be impressed by low intelligence, anti-american celebrity…
This is a time that we who love this republic should DEFINITELY follow the advice of Sun Tzu. “never interrupt your enemy when he’s (she’s) making a mistake”… and make no mistake, the demonrats ARE our enemies!
