The questions she asked during the oral arguments on birthright citizenship were ludicrous and showed once again that Justice Jackson has no place on the Supreme Court …or any other court for that matter.
As we know, the media and a great number of pundits were absolutely aghast that President Trump attended today’s proceedings.
President Trump took a front row seat in the Supreme Court on Wednesday to listen to arguments in a birthright citizenship case.
The president sat in the court’s public gallery, with Attorney General Pam Bondi at his side, to listen to Solicitor General John Sauer make the case for his executive order redefining American citizenship.
A President has never attended these proceedings before. The pearl clutching was immense and comical. How DARE HE??!!
Intimidation tactic to remind judges of the costs of defying him. https://t.co/z4kfpZsDW0

If the justices were intimidated by his presence, no one showed it. But others kept looking for and hoping for Trump to do something…anything to disrupt the proceedings.
“Any effort to distract from the gravity and importance of this case will not succeed,” ACLU Executive Director Anthony D. Romero said in a statement. “The Supreme Court is up to the task of interpreting and defending the Constitution even under the glare of a sitting president a couple dozen feet away from them.”
Sadly for them, there were no fireworks. Yet it is evident that the Justices will be wrestling with how to decide on this issue given their lines of questioning.
A majority of the Supreme Court appeared skeptical of President Trump’s efforts to limit birthright citizenship during arguments on Wednesday.
Key conservative justices raised doubts about the constitutionality of the president’s executive order that would end automatic citizenship for children born on U.S. soil to undocumented immigrants and some temporary foreign visitors.
When a lawyer for the Trump administration suggested that the realities of modern migration required a new assessment of whether the Constitution guarantees birthright citizenship, Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., who is seen as a key vote, retorted: “It’s a new world. It’s the same Constitution.”
Still, in an argument that lasted more than two hours, the chief justice and several other of the court’s conservatives also asked tough questions of a lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union, which brought the legal challenge, making the outcome of the legally complicated and hugely consequential case not fully clear.
However, what they should’ve been troubled by is Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s ludicrous line of questioning.
Let’s start with this one…
I got pulled over by the police once in Mexico. That means I'm Mexican. Now I have to go tell my kids they are Mexican too.

Uh huh…sure. Go to another country, commit a crime, land yourself in jail and VIOLA! You are now a citizen of that country!! It’s becoming highly evident that she skipped quite a number of classes in law school. And yet, here she is sitting at SCOTUS.
That wasn’t all. She really let loose on the crazy ludicrous today.
🚨 OMG. DEI Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson starts quoting people on birthright citizenship, then says she doesn't even know WHO THEY ARE
— Eric Daugherty (@EricLDaugh) April 1, 2026
Why is she quoting it then?!
"A subsequent debate, between Fessenden and Wade…I'm not sure whether these are senators, I apologize."
Yeah,… pic.twitter.com/GNKrP8HFJU
So, she doesn’t know case law nor does she know the background of those involved in those cases… or the history of prior debates in Congress on this issue. What this is a woman who hasn’t done ANY homework on this issue and pulls these asinine questions out of her keister!
This question, however, was just the cherry on top of the idiot sundae.
Jackson: "How does this work? Are you suggesting that when a baby is born, people have to have documents determining a newborn child is a citizen of the United States?… Are we bringing in pregnant women for depositions?" pic.twitter.com/r4zhuzuDOF

Yes, she asked that with a straight face. At least, momentarily, she knows what a woman is.
This is what we are dealing with for the long-term future. Is it any wonder that other justices on the court, including her fellow liberals are beyond exasperated with her?
No, your honor, we'll bring the DOJ attorney and judge into the delivery room.
— TeaPartyOG (@TeaPartyOGs) April 1, 2026
That would be quite the circus wouldn’t it? Needless to say, her question ignores the fact that documentation is provided to the hospital upon arrival. Documentation that shows whether one is a citizen or not!
At least the rest of the justices asked thoughtful, well-reasoned questions!
Ketanji Brown Jackson was very much a DEI hire, elevated to one of the most important roles in our Constitutional Republic. Sadly for all of us, her ludicrous lines of questioning and lack of preparation or even knowledge, diminishes SCOTUS.
