why does john ‘reporting for duty’ kerry say these dumb things? you’d think after being excoriated on the campaign trail 6 years or so ago, he would have learned his lesson, but no he didn’t.
some think john kerry said this not because he hates sarah palin but because he is just a jerk. i happen to think both are true: he hates sarah (they all do) AND he is a doofus-jerk.
The Bay State senator was telling a group of business and civic leaders in town at his invitation about the “bizarre’’ tale of how South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford had “disappeared for four days’’ and claimed to be hiking along the Appalachian Trail, but no one was really certain of his whereabouts.
“Too bad,’’ Kerry said, “if a governor had to go missing it couldn’t have been the governor of Alaska. You know, Sarah Palin.’’
The Democratic-centric crowd laughed.
by the way, he said this before governor sanford’s shameful press conference, so the good news is he wasn’t implying an affair. the bad news is he was wishing what? death? harm? kidnapping?

Kerry, along with all the democrats, wish Sarah Palin would go away, because they know that she is the only republican that can go head to head with 0bama. She’s not afraid to go after his record (or lack of one.) She’s the only one who could raise enough money to make it at least a somewhat level playing field, and she is the only one who can draw tens of thousands of people to her rallies.

Speaking of smearing & undermining – since you are still so upset about the stolen election 9 years ago, care to take a trip down memory lane about President Bush? There isn’t enough bandwidth on any blog to recount the smears, attacks and viciousness that President Bushand his administration endured for 8 years.
So those of us who don’t agree with Obama will speak out about it – and we’ll do it without the smears and attacks that the left threw over the wall since 2000. We’ll just present the facts – that will be enough.
Some of us may feel that Obama stole the election from the conservatives because of a media too enraptured to shed light on any one of a dozen reasons why Obama should not have been elected. But we won’t be agonizing over it 4 years from now.
You’ll notice that even now, we aren’t bemoaning a “stolen” election. We aren’t accusing the president of being elected illegally.
We are simply moving forward and speaking out. 4 years from now when conservatives win back the White House – we won’t gloat, we’ll move forward to stem the tide of disastrous policies that Obama will shove thru.
And that’s what you people will never understand. The ability to look forward rather than dwelling on the past.

however … he is actually a rather good senator if you have a problem and he is your senator. when i was in the peace corps a consel officer in a us embassy was hasseling me over my passport — peace corps volunteers have government passports — though not diplomatic passports. anyway … the consel officer did not like me and was hasseling me about getting a new passport — basically mine was expiring and i needed one to travel and he would not get one for me.
soooooo … my parents called John Kerry’s office … needless to say, i got my passport right away … and the consel officer was furious.

I think Sarah Palin just needs more experience and has to do more “homework”. So she might be a far better politician. But at her current state she really would have been a bad vice president.
