Fresh from his most recent vacation in St. Croix, Joe Biden is ready to begin his 2024 Presidential Race with a speech on January 6. Joe was never a smart man. He has always been thin-skinned, angry and resentful of anyone with more talent or money than himself. Fomenting fear and hate is all he has. That means that the opening volley for his campaign will be filled with projectiles echoing those of his speech from Independence Hall in September of 2022.

You can bet all your pudding stock that Joe with thunder about the “Soul of our Nation” and “Our Democracy” while naming Donald Trump as the chief insurrectionist and the worst racist ever. After that September speech, here is what our Deanna wrote:

The Joe Biden speech on “saving the soul of America” went just about as well as you would expect from an old man who can only read off a teleprompter. The problem is, very few people watched it, and the images are truly bad. As in, they would have been considered overkill in a movie about a dystopian society.

MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards — backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love.

They promote authoritarian leaders, and they fan the flames of political violence that are a threat to our personal rights, to the pursuit of justice, to the rule of law, to the very soul of this country.

They look at the mob that stormed the United States Capitol on January 6th — brutally attacking law enforcement — not as insurrectionists who placed a dagger to the throat of our democracy, but they look at them as patriots.

And they see their MAGA failure to stop a peaceful transfer of power after the 2020 election as preparation for the 2022 and 2024 elections.

Joe’s campaign manager gave the scoop to U.S. New & World Report:

“On January 6, 2021, we witnessed a very different vision of America – one defined by revenge, retribution, and a rebuke of our very democracy,” Julie Chavez Rodriguez, campaign manager for the Biden-Kamala Harris campaign, told reporters in a conference call Tuesday.
“This Saturday will mark the three-year anniversary of when – with encouragement from Donald Trump – a violent mob breached our nation’s Capitol. It was the first time in our nation’s history that a president tried to prevent the peaceful transfer of power. Not even during the Civil War did insurrectionists breach our Capitol. But at the urging of Donald Trump, insurrectionists on Jan. 6, 2021, did.”

The president will be making his address Saturday afternoon near Valley Forge, Pennsylvania – the site of a key battle in the American Revolutionary War – and will speak “bluntly about what the 2024 election is going to be about,” Rodriguez said.

Yes, that same blunt talking Joe from the Independence Hall speech in 2022:

But there is no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, and that is a threat to this country.

These are hard things.

But I’m an American President — not the President of red America or blue America, but of all America.

And I believe it is my duty — my duty to level with you, to tell the truth no matter how difficult, no matter how painful.

ABC wrote up the details for the Saturday, January 6 speech in mostly the same way:

Principal deputy campaign manager Quentin Fulks said Valley Forge was selected for its historical significance as it is “the same spot where nearly 250 years ago, our nation’s forefathers transformed a disorganized alliance of colonial militias into a cohesive coalition united in their fight for our democracy, where General Washington united American willpower and went on to lead this nation as commander and as president – before relinquishing power – the ultimate precedent and the experiment of American democracy.”
In Saturday’s speech, Biden is expected to lay out in an official capacity on the campaign trail what he sees as the stakes of the 2024 election as he ramps up toward a likely rematch against former President Donald Trump.

“There, the president will make the case directly that democracy and freedom — two powerful ideas that united the 13 colonies and that generations throughout our nation’s history have fought and died for … remains central to the fight we’re in today,” Fulks said.

Joe will hit on words and phrases like: “Soul of our Nation”, violence, MAGA, insurrection and DONALD TRUMP.

Monday, January 8, Joe will make his pitch for you soul at Emmanuel A.M.E. Church in Charleston where Dylann Roof killed nine people who had welcomed the White kid into their church and prayed with him. So typical of Joe to want to use the blood of the innocents to make himself look saintly. From Roll Call

:President Joe Biden’s top reelection campaign aides barely mentioned the other Republican presidential candidates during a 2024 kickoff call, hammering a message that Donald Trump is “running as a dictator.”

Officials briefed reporters Tuesday on some of the campaign’s strategies and plans for January and topping the list was portraying Trump as a threat to American democracy and enabler of white supremacism.

Biden is set to deliver remarks during a campaign event Monday at Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C. Officials said Biden would discuss white supremacists like a white gunman, Dylann Roof, who killed nine Black members of the congregation in 2015.

Biden will combine the blood from Mother Emmanuel Church with the Charlottesville statue riot. Remember that one?

Biden has previously said the events at Charlottesville are what convinced him to enter the presidential race. He spoke to supporters at an August fundraiser about the white nationalists who attended the rally and carried lit tiki torches. They also appeared in the video released Wednesday.

“When those folks came out of the fields carrying those torches, chanting the anti-Semitic bile and their veins bulging, accompanied by the Ku Klux Klan, with such ugliness,” Biden said at the virtual event, which was timed to precede the Jewish new year.
