Jimmy Kimmel Returns Tonight, Joy In Liberal Land

There is great joy in Liberal Land today. Last night, the Disney Company, Over Lord of ABC, announced that Jimmy Kimmel will return to his eponymously named show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, tonight. Mr. Kimmel survived a whole six days of paid vacation/suspension. This makes no nevermind to me as I have never seen the show and I am not in the key demographic anyway. Didn’t really make a nevermind to the public either since he only averaged 220,000 viewers 18-49 per night. Defeating the orange usurper Donald Trump was their goal. Let them enjoy their delusional win.

As our Nina wrote, Jimmy Kimmel is set to start contract negotiations in the next couple months. Not only is Kimmel a thorn in the side of Disney/ABC, but he is expensive. Offloading expensive talent would be a boon for the company. We shall see. From my beloved NY Post Page Six, here is the statement on the reinstatement:

Jimmy Kimmel’s show will be returning after ABC suspended him for his comments on Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

The Walt Disney Company issued a statement Monday confirming that “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” will be back on air Tuesday.

“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” the company explained in the statement.

“It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”

“Insensitive” comments? He outright lied about MAGA and the killer of martyred Charlie Kirk and he knew he did:

“The MAGA gang are desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said at the time.

Not everyone is doing dancing about the return of Jimmy Kimmel.

Though the show is returning, Sinclair Broadcast Group, who owns several ABC affiliate stations, announced they will preempt “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and replace it with news programming.

“Discussions with ABC are ongoing as we evaluate the show’s potential return,” they said in a statement Monday night.

Sinclair has 38 ABC broadcast affiliates. No small number and is looking to buy more.

One of my new favs, RigoStaRR had this to say on X, beware: Salty talk:

By the way, you know who Lily Tino is….here.

Showbiz types are the ultimate Sheeple. No ability to think for themselves. According to The Hollywood Reporter, 400 of them signed a letter to Disney/ABC:

Hundreds of Hollywood celebrities have signed an open letter by the American Civil Liberties Union supporting free speech and condemning Disney’s suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The letter states that efforts to pressure artists, journalists and others with retaliation for their speech “strike at the heart of what it means to live in a free country.” The message closes by calling on all Americans to fight to defend our right to speak freely.

Some of the signatories (full list of names below) include Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Robert De Niro, Jane Fonda, Selena Gomez, Tom Hanks, Olivia Rodrigo, Ben Stiller, Jamie Lee Curtis, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Keaton, Regina King, Diego Luna, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Natalie Portman, Maya Rudolph, Martin Short and Kerry Washington.

One of the names listed is Pedro Pascal, whose trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu Star Wars movie was released this morning by Disney.

“We now find ourselves in a modern McCarthy era, facing exactly the type of heavy-handed government censorship our Constitution rightfully forbids,” said Anthony D. Romero, executive director of the ACLU, which organized the letter. “The silencing of Jimmy Kimmel and jawboning of media outlets through lawsuits and threats to their licenses evoke dark memories of the 1950s. We must remember, however, that Senator McCarthy was ultimately disgraced and neutralized once Americans mobilized and stood up to him. We must do the same today because together, our voices are louder and together, we will fight to be heard.”

You don’t have to fight to be heard. Just stop insulting us and our martyrs.

Watch this video and understand that ABC/Disney suspended Jimmy Kimmel to protect us sensitive Conservatives. They didn’t us to riot or firebomb anything, I guess.

Oh wait, rioting and throwing firebombs is not our jam. We are the thoughts and prayers crowd. However, I do love It’s Tiff from X also.

Let them have their joy in Liberal Land. Our people are much more talented. Peace.

You need to post who advertises on Kimmel’s show, including parent companies.

In her book about the attempted assassination of President Trump, “Butler”, Salena Zito notes that one of the important reasons those who consider themselves Elites have lost touch with the middle and working classes is that corporate headquarters have moved from where the businesses are, to the financial and media centers like New York, Chicago and LA. So, the upper management has been captured by the Blue Bubble in which they live. They need to be reminded that no entity can survive without its roots.

Kimmel, his Hollywood and media friends, ABC and Disney don’t buy your products. We don’t have to support those who vilify us, either.
