An illegal shot New York City police officers as he tried to flee on foot. The 19-year-old Venezuelan stayed in a New York City Courtyard Marriott turned migrant shelter. Luckily, all involved are going to be okay.

New York City has a major problem, and it’s not just “illegal gun possession” or simply a matter of violent crime, as Mayor Eric Adams and his police commissioner are trying to portray by eliminating the words illegals from their vocabulary. I wish New Yorkers would ask themselves if they’d be having this problem if they weren’t a sanctuary city.

The officers had tried to pull over the teen, identified as Bernardo Castro Mata, after spotting him driving the wrong way down a street at 89th Street and 23rd Avenue in Elmhurst at about 1:40 a.m., police said.

A crime such as this is inevitable when you have an open border.

Oh, and this Venezuelan, who is in our country illegally, shot the officers with a gun he wasn’t supposed to have. Allegedly. Imagine that. I thought if we took the guns away, criminals wouldn’t have them either. Huh.

This 19-year-old is said to be a part of one of many massive crime rings of motorized scooters robbing and terrorizing the people of New York City. He was zooming his scooter the wrong way down a street. The cops spotted him and tried to stop him. The illegal then ditched his scooter to flee on foot. Police gave chase, and that’s when Bernardo Raul Castro Mata allegedly took out a gun and began shooting at the cops.

The Truth

When Joe Biden isn’t handing out work permits to the illegals, he and the press mock Donald Trump for saying what is really happening. Just last month, at a rally, Donald Trump told us the truth again.

“We can be nice about it, we can talk about, ‘Oh, I want to be politically correct,’” Trump said. “But we have people coming in from prisons and jails, long-term murderers, people with sentences that the rest of their lives they’re going to spend in some jail in some country that many people have never even heard of. So while we have illegals here and violent ones at that that have nothing good to offer us here, nothing but crime and filth, we have the left leadership pretending it’s not happening. They don’t even acknowledge it.

An example – The press conference earlier this morning with Mayor Eric Adams and Police Commissioner Edward Caban:

Police commissioner, “…our officers were out there doing the job we AXED them to do.” I am so sick of pretending these DEI appointees have any sort of intelligence about them. So yeah, I’m going to call them out.

Misled Focus

They tried to make the focus on violent criminals and illegal gun possession like it is some run-of-the-mill talking point. These clowns didn’t even get to the part about the criminal being here illegally until a reporter asked at the end of the video.

Also, Eric Adams up there holding up the bulletproof vest the police officer was wearing, which more than likely saved his life. It’s not about the vest, Eric. If you didn’t turn your city into an illegal city that welcomes violent criminals from who knows what other countries, maybe you wouldn’t have this situation.

Our cities have become something you’d see in a third-world country. I wonder why that is.

November can’t get here quick enough. Between Joe Biden prioritizing illegals over Americans, illegals being able to fly with an arrest warrant, and giving illegals ‘free’ money, we are well past having ourselves a crisis on our hands. This is outright criminal behavior from Joe Biden, and I hope the man lives long enough to face charges and punishment.
