It was the worst-kept secret of the last 7 years, but it was made official today – Hillary Clinton is again running for president.
The announcement finally showed up a few hours later than had been promised (seriously, how long does it take to post a video to YouTube?), and this was Hillary’s big moment.
For a little compare and contrast, here’s Hillary’s announcement for president from 2007.
Well, the production values are much better in 2015 than in 2007… but “everyday Americans need a champion”? We just had a two-term Democratic president, and things haven’t gotten better for those everyday Americans? Why, I’m shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you!
And because the announcement was inevitable, the mockery started last night, with a cold open sketch from Saturday Night Live that made one both laugh hysterically and shiver with dread at the same time.
Even dedicated liberals are less than excited about Hillary, but they can’t say that directly. So they took to mocking her new logo.

I’d say that the Hillary team is wishing that they could get a do-over on the day. And I expect that as time goes on, this tweet will prove to be especially prescient:
