Hillary Clinton “wonders” what the Benghazi fuss is all about

Dear Mrs. Clinton,

I read this morning that you “wonder” why people are still talking about Benghazi in your new book, “Hard Choices”.

For such a smart woman, that was such a dumb thing to write.

How dare you?

Or perhaps the better question is how do you sleep at night?  I realize you have a long history of lying, blaming, and denial, but until now, most of your misbehavior and lack of a moral compass has been confined to your and your erstwhile husband’s shenanigans.

But now you “wonder” why Americans want the truth about why good men died horrible deaths, knowing they were abandoned.  While Obama, you, and the State Department worried and dithered in the situation room about how Benghazi would affect the outcome of an election.

Then lied about it.

You have lied, connived, excused, bullied, and postured your way to a position in government that is quite unbelievable.

In many ways, you are an replica of your ex-boss, the Liar-in-Chief.

You represent what is terribly wrong with what passes as true and honest public service these days.  What popular culture supports and glorifies as a woman’s right to be in high office is based on…..not much.

Even with your spoils in hand, you cannot stop grasping for more.  Like the dog with a bone in his mouth, you gaze into a pool of elitist government entitlement and potential of even more booty and fame and think, “why not?”  It’s not surprising, given the latitude both you and your husband were given following his tenure as POTUS.  You both should have been shunned and relegated to a reality show about horny husbands and cuckolded wives.   Your non-stop scheming and ruthless political gamesmanship is on par with no one else.  You are, dare I say, better at it than Obama.

Your hubris knows no bounds:

“In yet another example of the terrible politicization of this tragedy, many have conveniently chosen to interpret” that phrase “to mean that I was somehow minimizing the tragedy of Benghazi. Of course that’s not what I said,” she writes. “Nothing could be further from the truth. And many of those trying to make hay of it know that, but don’t care.”

No.  YOU are the one who doesn’t “care”:

“What difference does it make?”

From the HotAir piece Ed Morrissey wrote:

“How could Secretary of State Hillary Clinton not have been part of that decision? And how did Clinton not know about these decisions made by her aide? This is nothing more than a shabby attempt to avoid responsibility for the decisions made under her command at State. It’s the latest in a series of absurd dodges, and one that Clinton no doubt hopes the media will project as definitive so that continuing questions will continue to get the what difference at this point does it make treatment.”

Mrs. Clinton, you call women’s rights an “unfinished business”.

What about the “unfinished business”  of these men?

J. Christopher Stevens, Ambassador

Sean Smith, Information Officer

Glen Doherty, Navy SEAL

Tyrone Woods, Navy SEAL

Mrs. Clinton, you are about to become a grandmother.  I too am a grandmother, to eight, almost nine, beautiful grandchildren and cannot think of a better incentive to be an example of a honest and trustworthy woman.

I would hope that when your grandchild arrives, you take a good long look into that trusting little face and imagine how each one of the mothers and fathers of the  Benghazi Four felt being lied to and manipulated by the State Department.

Nothing is worth the political gain you have sold your soul for.

And you don’t have to “wonder” about that.  There’s no “Hard Choice” about it.
