Here is another post about Donald Trump’s Vice President Short List. He is the candidate, after all, and we are getting closer to The Don announcing his guy or gal. Getting a break from his NYC trial, Donald Trump went home to Mar-a-Lago for the weekend and hosted a brunch where some potentials for VP showed up.
Here are the players who could be on Donald Trump’s shortlist. Personally, I think he’s already chosen the person he wants, but we’ll go ahead and discuss the possibilities.
Tim Scott is the nice guy. Everyone loves Tim Scott, and if only being a nice guy was the only requirement for being second in line, then he’d be the perfect pick.
Plus, The View’s Sunny Hostin says that having Tim Scott as Trump’s VP would not help with the black votes, so if Sunny says so, you know it must be true (eye roll).
In all seriousness, I don’t think Republicans would be butthurt if Scott was selected, and we’d all be fine.
Elisa Stefanik is being talked about, and she was at the bruncheon fundraiser, but I think she is simply doing a lot of Trump’s behind-the-scenes bidding. And while Trump likens Stefanik to a “killer” when it comes to speaking up for him and against these ridiculous trials, something is telling me that he doesn’t really see her as Presidential material.
And someone who has come in as a surprise, Doug Burgum. Here, he educates Jack Tapper on the facts of the matter.

Doub Burgum is a businessman. How many times did we hear leading up to the 2016 election from the people that this was better than apple pie itself? That we must have a businessman and not a politician in office?
It’s not like Burgum had no political experience like Donald when he first ran for president. Doug Burgum is the Governor of North Dakota, after all. I would not be mad if Trump selected Doug Burgum as vice president. Then again, we need to leave some good and decent Governors in place to continue the fight at the state level.
Many people have a lot to say about Trump’s vice president pick. And the Victory Girls have written several articles about it.
Here is cryin’ Adam Kinzinger, who gave his opinion on CNN about how he thinks Donald will select his vice president.
Can I just say here and now that Adam Kinzinger is a stupid man? Saying that Donald Trump will make the top choices compete for his affection is ridiculous. Adam is not just a stupid man but also a silly man.
But he’s not wrong about Kristi Noem. What in the world happened there? Did she purposely leak the manuscript because she didn’t want to be considered for VP? I don’t know what’s worse; shooting a puppy in the face or having an affair with Corey Lewandowski. I’m going to say killing a puppy. However, the affair is gross, too.
Honorable mentions are Marco Rubio and Ron DeSantis. I believe we can let go of the thought of a Trump-Rubio or Trump-DeSantis ticket, and here’s why:
There’s just one problem with Trump-Rubio 2024. It’s the 12th Amendment, which stipulates that the first formal step in determining presidential-election results is that “the Electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves.” According to the most common interpretation of this language, Florida’s 30 electoral votes could not be cast for both Trump and Rubio. – NY Mag
Even though all three of those men (Trump, Rubio, and DeSantis) are from Florida, it hasn’t stopped the media from discussing a possible ticket with either.
Selecting the vice president is important this election cycle because 1.) we need to unite the freakin’ party again by finding someone who will satisfy all of the GOP politicians and voters, and 2) this person could be the 2028 Presidential candidate. So Trump has to get this right.

The Florida thing is fluff. Trumps moves problem solved.
“Even though all three of those men (Trump, Rubio, and DeSantis) are from Florida, it hasn’t stopped the media from discussing a possible ticket with either.”.. Mostly because the demonrats know that they ignore the law, so they pretend that repubs will too..
Kinzinger is not so much stupid (though he is that), it’s more that he’s a bought and paid for Soros “man”…
Tulsi
John Kennedy from Louisiana. it just seems so obvious
Your list is too short, you left out Vivek Ramaswamy.
