Each day brings fresh atrocities upon Israelis courtesy of the Iran-supported terror group Hamas. They’ve plumbed new depths of depravity by releasing videos of their goons with captured Israeli children.
In the video we can see images of men toting assault rifles, their faces blurred, in the presence of very small children. In one segment there’s a man holding a young boy, no older than five, on his lap. Another is pushing a baby in a carriage. Yet another soldier is holding a small boy and a baby in each arm.
The United Nations regards the abduction of children during wartime as one of the six grave violations the Security Council condemns. Some readers will pooh-pooh anything the UN says, but anyone with a soul will see this as vile depravity.
Bonchie at Red State is not optimistic about the fate of these poor little ones.
I hate to be a pessimist, but there is little chance Hamas will let them live. They can't allow their stories to be told.
Right now, they are an afterthought as the global press obsesses over bombings in Gaza. If they are freed, it will be impossible to ignore them. https://t.co/kwNhS1G438

Sadly, I must concur. These innocents will be used as camera fodder until their usefulness dissipates. And then they’ll be executed.
Jackson Hinkle is one of many despicable antisemites who lurk on social media. Unfortunately Hinkle has gained notice by appearing on Tucker Carlson’s program last year. He’s also a useful idiot for Vladimir Putin.
It also appears that Hinkle loves Islamists, too. This past February he received the “Serena Shim Award” for his support of Bashar Assad.
Who is Serena Shim, you may ask? She was a reporter for Iranian state TV.

You can see where Hinkle’s sympathies lie. Sure enough, he appears to be on Team Hamas.

But perhaps the most contemptible assertion that Hinkle made was claiming that the images of the burned Israeli babies were generated by AI.
🇮🇱🇵🇸 They said they had a photo of 40 beheaded babies, but the photo showed a single baby.
It was then revealed that the photo was an AI generated image.
But it didn’t matter because the lie about 40 beheaded babies has already been heard by enough people to justify a big war. pic.twitter.com/KEZ5CTpte7

Except that Hinkle is a f***ing liar.
Another X user ran the same images through an AI filter and described her results in a long thread at X. Her conclusion? The images are most likely human, and not AI:
This is what cyber warfare looks like. I am raising awareness to the following information because it is absolutely crucial that everyone understands how the fog of war can and will be weaponized in the modern age of AI technology.
Recently, this photo of a burnt baby was released by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, among other horrific images, which then circulated on social media. The others seemed real to me, but something didn’t feel right to me about one particular image. I’ve been an AI hobbyist for years and have developed a keen eye for what hallucinated imagery looks like, so alarms were going off in my head when I first saw this and people were claiming it wasn’t real….
Then, news broke out that there was evidence claiming the image was likely AI generated… I took the photo, ran it through the “AI or Not” tool, and it indeed came back as “AI generated.” However, experimental diagnostic tools like this are in their infancy and are inherently unreliable.
I ran the other images that Netanyahu posted and they all came back as “Human”.
Unfortunately, however, the damage is done. Antisemitic trolls continue to share Hinkle’s lie. Like the X user who goes by the handle “Chef Ape” who posted:
Surprise surprise, the Jew is leaning towards the Jewish narrative
Ben Shapiro explained it:
The propaganda wars — Hamas is fighting them right now — and there are a lot of gullible dupes out there who want to believe.
Any group that would kidnap children is evil and use them as props is evil. So is that same group when they slaughter young children. But not far from them are the antisemitic trolls who use these ungodly crimes committed upon the most innocent of us to promote their own repulsive forms of hatred.

I was a moderator at a debate forum many many years ago, back when some live beheadings (ISIS, Al Qaeda, et al) were first sent over the internet.
What surprised me most was the number of seemingly sane people who believed those tapes were the work of the CIA, and not real. One of their ostensible marks of proof was the fact the knife wielder had a gold ring on. Every person who has never met a Muslim somehow believed they don’t wear gold. That was weird.
Yes, they also believed explosives took down the twin towers those planes were just a timer or something. Because in order to take down the twin towers with explosives one needs a couple of planes to hit it first.
Underlying problem is, trust has been lost.
It’s worse now than ever. TPTB aren’t helping, they are harming.
Effective war requires a cruel calculus.
Loathe though I am to the thought, if you truly want to end the cycle of violence, it’s best to assume those hostages are already dead.
If the goal is to save hostages, then negotiate.
If the goal is to end the threat that is Hamas, then discard any polite fancies and do what it takes to eliminate every last Hamas member and supporter from the face of the earth. Never again allow Gaza to exist as an autonomous exclave. Don’t target innocents, but don’t prioritize sparing them over killing/capturing the enemy. No evacuations (which allow shadow governments to form), simply kill everyone who doesn’t immediately surrender and vet/surveil all those who do.
It won’t solve the ME crisis, but it will affect more than any half measures ever have.
Maybe I’m a monster; that doesn’t mean I’m wrong.
