So much for her Gaza stunt. Greta Thunberg decided the climate change schtick wasn’t working and has wedded herself to Hamas and the pro-Palestinian brigade in a speedy fashion.

So much so that it was time for yet another boat ride! This time it was with a group of like-minded loons, including some actor I’ve never heard of. And…off to Gaza they went. All to deliver about two measly picnic baskets of supplies. Their fabulous voyage was replete with songs and selfies.

Of course, Israel warned them there would be consequences to their approach to the shores of Gaza. Where is Joe’s floating pier when you need it? 

But I digress. They didn’t make it to Gaza. 

An aid vessel launched by Greta Thunberg and other international activists headed for Gaza was boarded by Israeli forces on Sunday, mere hours after Israeli officials demanded they “turn back,” the coalition announced in a Telegram post.

The Madleen ship, operated by the Freedom Flotilla Coalition, set sail on June 1 with 12 activists onboard, including Thunberg, a Swedish peace and climate campaigner, and Irish actor Liam Cunningham.

“The ship was unlawfully boarded, its unarmed civilian crew abducted, and its life-saving cargo — including baby formula, food and medical supplies — confiscated,” the Freedom Flotilla Coalition said in a statement.

The deluded “activists” have gone so far as to claim they’ve been kidnapped. Uh huh. Try again kiddies. 

Israel’s Foreign Ministry was a bit more …blunt in their assessment of this latest stunt from Greta and her sycophants. 

The “selfie yacht” of the “celebrities” is safely making its way to the shores of Israel. The passengers are expected to return to their home countries.

While Greta and others attempted to stage a media provocation whose sole purpose was to gain publicity — and which included less than a single truckload of aid — more than 1,200 aid trucks have entered Gaza from Israel within the past two weeks, and in addition, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has distributed close to 11 million meals directly to civilians in Gaza.

There are ways to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip — they do not involve Instagram selfies.

The tiny amount of aid that was on the yacht and not consumed by the “celebrities” will be transferred to Gaza through real humanitarian channels.

There are consequences to Greta’s stunt. All of them will be front and center for a mandatory viewing of the October 7 attack. 

“I congratulate the IDF for the quick and safe takeover of the ‘Madleen’ flotilla to prevent them from breaking the blockade and reaching the shores of Gaza,” Israel’s defense minister, Israel Katz, said on X.

“I instructed the IDF to show the flotilla passengers the video of the horrors of the October 7 massacre when they arrive at the port of Ashdod,” he wrote.

I’m one thousand percent ok with that. As long as they are also not allowed to cover their eyes or plug their ears. I would add one more item to their FAFO. Have them meet with some of the hostages and hear their testimony. 

However, it’s likely a bit of ‘you can bring them to the horse trough, but you can’t make them drink’ scenario. 

This was nothing more than yet another publicity stunt from Greta “HOW DARE YOU!’ Thunberg. The grift is indeed strong with her and all her followers. Especially when the sole reason is an attempt to remain relevant. 

One doesn’t need to defend Israel to find this spectacle deeply absurd. Greta has not grown into a mature moral voice. She has grown into a mascot for curated outrage. She went from lecturing world leaders at Davos to waving flags on a boat with a French MEP and a Game of Thrones actor. And for what? To revive a dying brand. To stay visible in a culture that feeds on attention but chokes on complexity. Greta’s climate crusade was always built on alarmism over nuance, emotion over understanding. Now that the panic has faded, she’s scrambling for a new stage. Gaza just happens to be the loudest one available. 

Yes, Greta’s Gaza stunt was a failure from the start. Will the mandatory viewing of the horrors of October 7 change her mind? I highly doubt it. Is that consequence necessary?

Greta filmed a video claiming she’s been “kidnapped.” In reality, her boat was peacefully boarded, and she’s being brought to shore—where she’ll likely be deported and return to Sweden to continue her selfie activism.

In light of Greta’s pro-Palestinian antisemitic stance, and the rise in attacks on Jews here in the U.S. – most recently just as her boat launched, I’d say making her watch the video is the least they can do.
