This is why I support mandatory drug testing in most areas of life, especially politics.

“I’m proud of the fact that basically you’ve had an administration that has been in place for six years in which there hasn’t been a major scandal,” David Axelrod said Monday during a discussion of his new book ”Believer: My Forty Years in Politics,” at the University of Chicago.

“I think that says a lot about the ethical strictures of this administration.”

I will now allow everyone to catch their breath after the uproarious laughing seizures subside….  Yes, IT DOES say something about the ethical strictures of this administration.

So, evidently, Mr. Axelrod is (a) in a drug induced waking coma while living here on planet Earth, (b) his body thief just gave back his soul, (c) he has a traumatic brain injury caused by service in Iraq resulting in memory loss (maybe he was with Brian Williams with SEAL Team 6) or, (d) he now works as a staff writer for The Onion.

Seriously David, did you say that with a straight face?  When you pulled that “fact” out of wherever you got it, did you have to wash your hands?

Well David, since you and the rest of the zombies who reflexively vote Democrat regardless of the level of incompetence embodied in the candidate of their choice; let me refresh your memory. (h/t–White House Dossier).

The IRS targets Obama’s enemies: The IRS targeted conservative and pro-Israel groups prior to the 2012 election. Questions are being raised about why this occurred, who ordered it, whether there was any White House involvement and whether there was an initial effort to hide who knew about the targeting and when.  More and more is coming out

Benghazi: This is actually three scandals in one:

• The failure of administration to protect the Benghazi mission.
• The changes made to the talking points in order to suggest the attack was motivated by an anti-Muslim video
• The refusal of the White House to say what President Obama did the night of the attack

Watching the AP: The Justice Department performed a massive cull and surveillance operation on the Associated Press reporters’ phone records as part of a leak investigation.

Rosen-gate: The Justice Department suggested that Fox News reporter James Rosen is a criminal for reporting about classified information and subsequently monitored his phones and emails.

Potential Holder perjury I: Attorney General Eric Holder told Congress he had never been associated with “potential prosecution” of a journalist for perjury when in fact he signed the affidavit that termed James Rosen a potential criminal.

The ATF “Fast and Furious” scheme: Allowed weapons from the U.S. to “walk” across the border into the hands of Mexican drug dealers. The ATF lost track of hundreds of firearms, many of which were used in crimes, including the December 2010 killing of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.  Running guns illegally into another country could be construed as an act of war.

Potential Holder Perjury II: Holder told Congress in May 2011 that he had just recently heard about the Fast and Furious gun walking scheme when there is evidence he may have known much earlier.

Sebelius demands payment: HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius solicited donations from companies HHS might regulate. The money would be used to help her sign up uninsured Americans for ObamaCare.

Veterans Affairs Agency:  The agency wasted more than $6 million on two conferences in Orlando. An assistant secretary was fired.  The “secret” waiting lists and piss poor care that veterans are receiving and to top it off, driving right past the VA Hospital in Phoenix AZ that was at the epicenter of the scandal.  The Director of the agency was fired as well.

Sebelius violates the Hatch Act: A U.S. special counsel determined that Sebelius violated the Hatch Act when she made “extemporaneous partisan remarks” during a speech in her official capacity last year. During the remarks, Sebelius called for the election of the Democratic candidate for governor of North Carolina.

Solyndra: Republicans charged the Obama administration funded and promoted its poster boy for green energy despite warning signs the company was headed for bankruptcy. The administration also allegedly pressed Solyndra to delay layoff announcements until after the 2010 midterm elections.

AKA Lisa Jackson: Former EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson used the name “Richard Windsor” when corresponding by email with other government officials, drawing charges she was trying to evade scrutiny.

The hacking of Sharyl Attkisson’s computer: It’s not clear who hacked the CBS reporter’s computer as she investigated the Benghazi scandal, but the Obama administration and its allies had both the motive and the means to do it.

And these are only the high points.  If you want a more complete accounting, going here would be a good place to start on keeping up or refreshing your memory.

But David Axelrod is in need of rehab or therapy if he thinks that there haven’t been any scandals in the Obama Presidency.  In fact, my guess is that despite the cheer-leading of the major alphabet networks asking softball questions about “boxers or briefs” or quacking like a duck, that the media will pay for its culpability in propping up the emperor with no clothes, no experience and no plan for anything other than how to get another early tee time.

I also know that historians will grade the Obama administration as a bigger failure than any other administration in our history as a country because of the length, number and sheer vastness of the scandals that David Axelrod continues to pretend don’t exist.

There is a drug problem at the University of Chicago. The police might want to start their investigation with David Axelrod.

It is either that or his forty years in politics has done some pretty good damage to his ability to perceive reality.
