FBI Upset with Obama for Sticking His Nose Where It Doesn’t Belong

No FBI officials will comment publicly, but the New York Times reports that agents are outraged by President Obama’s latest commentary on Hillary’s email problem. On CBS’s 60 Minutes, Obama said,

“I don’t think it posed a national security problem [.]” [Obama] said it had been a mistake for Mrs. Clinton to use a private email account when she was secretary of state, but his conclusion was unmistakable: “This is not a situation in which America’s national security was endangered.”

Defiance.
Defiance.

Ron Hosko, a former top official at the FBI said,

“Injecting politics into what is supposed to be a fact-finding inquiry leaves a foul taste in the F.B.I.’s mouth and makes them fear that no matter what they find, the Justice Department will take the president’s signal and not bring a case,” said Mr. Hosko, who maintains close contact with current agents.

Injecting politics into everything is what he does best. He oversteps his bounds habitually. He makes inappropriate comments without reproach. What he says is well calculated to sway public opinion. Sometimes he has to back track, but more frequently the media has his back.

Here’s a quick reminder of a few of the times Obama gets in other people’s business: Trayvon “if I had a son he would look like Trayvon” Martin – George Zimmerman was later acquitted; Henry “the police acted stupidly” Gates – Obama later had a beer summit to appear as if he was healing the rift; and Gen. “no negative impact on national security” Petreaus – the general was charged with a misdemeanor even though FBI wanted to charge him with a felony. And let’s not forget Barack “we should politicize this” Obama from just a few days ago. Could it be any more clear?

If you only listen to Bernie “we’re tired of hearing about Hillary’s damn emails” Sanders, you might think this investigation isn’t serious or anything. But no, the FBI

is now focused on whether there were violations of an Espionage Act subsection pertaining to “gross negligence” in the safekeeping of national defense information.

Under 18 USC 793 subsection F, the information does not have to be classified to count as a violation. The intelligence source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity citing the sensitivity of the ongoing probe, said the subsection requires the “lawful possession” of national defense information by a security clearance holder who “through gross negligence,” such as the use of an unsecure computer network, permits the material to be removed or abstracted from its proper, secure location.

Subsection F also requires the clearance holder “to make prompt report of such loss, theft, abstraction, or destruction to his superior officer. “A failure to do so “shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.

The source said investigators are also focused on possible obstruction of justice. “If someone knows there is an ongoing investigation and takes action to impede an investigation, for example destruction of documents or threatening of witnesses, that could be a separate charge but still remain under a single case,” the source said.

It’s only espionage and obstruction of justice with possible penalties of ten years in prison – but, nah, Obama can just comment at will about ongoing investigations. Who could have predicted this? It’s not like Obama knows anything about rabble-rousing or stirring up trouble. Oh wait – what does a Community Organizer do again? That’s right – a community organizer finds willing complainants and brings political pressure to bear on some unlucky entity to force societal change. Who can say he hasn’t succeeded beyond all expectations at demonstrating what it means to fundamentally transform America? And the most amazing part is that he has used tools available to the common man. The tools of bias, prejudice, class warfare, and division. The most powerful man in the world regularly stoops to the most base depths in society to force his skewed and selfish vision on people who longed for Hope and Change.

He is a man with goals, and the finish line is in sight. Don’t let down your guard; there is still time on the clock.
