After nearly a week of saying there’s nothing to be concerned about, FBI Director Christopher Wray told U.S. police chiefs to keep an eye out for copycat terrorists.

History has been witness to antisemitic and other forms of violent extremism for far too long,’ the six-year director said in a speech at the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference, according to the FBI website.

‘Whether that be from foreign terrorist organizations, or those inspired by them, or domestic violent extremists motivated by their own racial animus, the targeting of a community because of their faith is totally unacceptable.

‘We remain committed to continue confronting those threats – both here in the United States and overseas.’

He added: ‘In this heightened environment, there’s no question we’re seeing an increase in reported threats, and we’ve got to be on the lookout – especially for lone actors who may take inspiration from recent events to commit violence of their own.’

‘And I’d encourage you to stay vigilant, because as the first line of defense in protecting our communities, you’re often the first to see the signs that someone may be mobilizing to violence.

‘I’d also ask you to continue sharing any intelligence or observations you may have,’ he added – days after the bureau revealed agents were looking ‘to locate and identify’ Americans affected by the current violence overseas.

While he still had to make a subtle dig at the supposed domestic terrorists that the FBI has been laser-focuses on … parents, J6 defendants, and those who protest peacefully outside of abortion clinics, the issue of copycat or lone actors is a very real problem. One that the FBI didn’t want to address just days earlier. Nor did the media. 

The FBI said this week it had no information indicating a credible terrorist threat against the United States, but social media pundits who have been raising the alarm for days aren’t backing down.

Conservative social media influencers have been filling platforms such as X and Truth Social with speculation not backed by any evidence that attacks on civilians in Israel would soon be followed by similar attacks in major U.S. cities and that people should begin preparing — including by avoiding cities and purchasing firearms.

Given we have no border, our concerns were and are totally valid. Given the number of people apprehended at the border in recent weeks(that we KNOW about) who are from special interest countries, our watchfulness is necessary. Especially since we also do not know how many have filtered in that our Border and Customs folks weren’t able to catch.

Then, let’s add in Iran’s posturing along with their funding of Hamas and Hezbollah. Furthermore, let’s add in the calls for the Day of Rage. Yet, for a time, the FBI was telling us ‘nothing to see here, move along.’

It didn’t help matters that progressives led by Jamaal “fire alarm” Bowman believe that Gaza refugees should be brought to the U.S. 

Experts predict a million refugees might flee the Gaza Strip amid the war between Israel and Hamas, and socialists and far-left lawmakers said America should welcome them.

“Fifty percent of the population in Gaza are children. The international community as well as the United States should be prepared to welcome refugees from Palestine while being very careful to vet and not allow members of Hamas,” said Rep. Jamaal Bowman, a New York member of the Socialist-Democratic “Squad” who remains under investigation for pulling a fire alarm in the House Cannon Office Building earlier this month.

You just know that Rashia Tlaib is on board with that idea, given how reluctant she is to call Hamas what they are, terrorists. 

Meanwhile, we have numerous protests across the country (mostly on college campuses) advocating AGAINST Israel.

“Harvard students who dared to speak for Palestinian lives were persecuted across campus,” Eghbariah said. “We reject that when Palestinians speak up for their lives, they are inherently violent.”

“There will be no peaceful resolution without a just resolution,” he added. “We will not be gaslighted that stating this basic truth is grounds for our annihilation.”

Kojo Acheampong ’26, a co-founder of the African and African American Resistance Organization, said in a speech at the rally that the group is “in full support of the Palestine resistance against the settler colonial apartheid regime that is Israel.”

Is the FBI keeping an eye on the student protestors or anyone else for that matter? How about stopping protests altogether? Oh, ABOUT THAT.

Thus, while the FBI’s warning about copycat terrorists is definitely warranted and should be heeded, the other part of the problem is that the FBI has totally squandered their credibility on number issues. 

It took the FBI all of two days to pivot from, no terrorists threats whatsoever to ‘ummm, guys? We might want to have our heads on swivel. 

Top men they are. Top. Men.
