Explosions In D.C. When Zelenskyy Blows It Up

if you missed it, you missed the best fight on television since Alexis Carrington and Krystal Carrington duked it out on Dynasty, except Miss Ellie from Dallas threw a punch too. Mike Tyson could never fight like this. There were explosions heard around the world. President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy went ballistic on televisions. Although it looked like it all happened in that time, it actually has been coming on for a while.

We were Zelenskyy to come to the White House to discuss signing a Rare Minerals Agreement and begin peace talks to end the Russian War of Aggression. There were several tiny explosions before the big ones. Dayum. Trump did a lot for Ukraine under Trump 1.0. After Biden’s minor incursion remark, Biden also slow walked money and munitions in Ukraine’s push back against Russia. Zelenskyy was also free with his preference for the Democrat candidate, whichever one. Trump was not best pleased with Zelenskyy oversleeping a meeting he was supposed to have with our Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent. Finally, Trump felt that Zelenskyy disrespected the people’s house by showing up to the White House without a suit.

One more tick against Zelenskyy is that he dropped by a bipartisan group of Senators for belly rubs before he went to the White House. He probably felt so warm with all that sunshine pumped up his skirt. Notice Amy Klobuchar and Richard Blumenthal in this video:

General Keith Kellogg, Trump’s special envoy to Ukraine, could see the explosions to come. I’ve watched the pool spray several times. Zelenskyy was sighing and rolling his eyes and accused Trump of siding with Putin:

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is wearing his emotions in his facial expressions during his meeting in the Oval Office, raising his eyebrows at Trump saying, “I’m not aligned with Putin.”

“I’m aligned with the United States of America, and for the good of the world… I’m aligned with Europe,” Trump said, drawing another reaction from Zelensky, who shook his head slightly in question.

Watch Zelenskyy’s body language as Trump says he (Trump) is not aligned with Russia, he is aligned with the world and wants the killing to stop. Zelenskyy shouldn’t have let Amy and Richard rub his belly before he went to the White House. That helped lead to the explosions.

Yes, J.D. Vance is right about Biden’s chest thumping. Vance interrupted Trump and then Zelenskyy interrupts Vance to ask “What kind of diplomacy?” Zelensky spoke to Vance like he was an indentured servant which set Trump off again. More from the Washington Post:

During their Oval Office meeting, President Donald Trump warned Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, “Your country is in big trouble,” but reiterated that the United States could still help Ukraine.

As Zelensky tried to respond, Trump cut him off, telling him he had “done a lot of talking.”

“You’re not winning this,” Trump said. “You have a damn good chance of coming out okay because of us.”

It remains unclear whether a deal can, in fact, still be reached. After the tense back and forth in the Oval Office, Trump remarked to reporters “we’ll see,” when asked whether the two leaders could still privately work out a deal. The Democrats all feigned dismay over the Trump/Vance/Zelenskyy explosions. The Republicans all acted as though they are please:

Shortly after the heated Oval Office exchange in which Trump accused Zelenskyy of “gambling with World War III,” Republican lawmakers characterized the unprecedented interaction as proof of Trump “putting America first” in an outpouring of support on social media.

“Thank you for standing up for OUR COUNTRY and putting America first, President Trump and Vice President Vance!” Senate Foreign Relations Committee member Mike Lee, R-Utah, wrote in a post on X.

Other GOP members were quick to echo the sentiment, including Sen. Rick Scott of Florida, another member of the chamber’s Foreign Relations Committee, who thanked Trump for “standing up for America,” in an X post.

Rep. Brandon Gill, R-Texas, called Trump’s behavior “America first in action,” while Rep. Wesley Hunt, R-Texas, said the president exposed the “REAL Zelenskyy.”

It still was sad. General Kellogg was at the end of the table when Zelenskyy met with the Senators and got pumped up. Kellogg was next to the Ukrainian Ambassador as Zelenskyy got deflated by Trump and Vance. I actually think Kellogg can fix this mess:

Putin is off laughing …for now.
