Last week, I joined my dear mom and dad in our old stomping grounds of New York City to visit my aunt and cousins. On the eve before my departure back home to Seattle, we sat and watched the final Presidential Debate before Election Day and as predicted, we argued.
My mom and dad have already cast their ballots and, as I have feared, they cast them for Hillary Clinton.
My parents are not ultra-liberal people, they just happen to be senior citizens living in an ultra-liberal University town where the political climate is dictated to those with low-information. My parents swear up and down that they are Democrats but I fear do not understand that being a Democrat means something different than what it meant 30 plus years ago. In fact, when I talk politics (and tread ever-so-lightly) with my parents, they seem more Conservative than they actually like to think they are. They are not hateful people. They are generous and loving people who happen to be voting for, in my opinion, a very hateful person. It made me wonder how many others fall into this category. How many others have fallen for the charade we know as Hillary Rodham Clinton?
I am willing to wager that there are many more individuals like my mother and father. The Donald would not have been my choice for the Republican nominee months ago. Donald Trump is a true New Yorker. He is loud, brash and rough around the edges. He’s certainly not easy on the eyes. He may have done some unorthodox things in his business practices, made sexist remarks and may have used his employees to his advantage. Trump is no saint. But there is no doubt that Trump has created a movement. Some of his supporters have been anti-establishment citizens frustrated with the D.C. big machine. The mainstream media however, has chosen to focus on this movement by highlighting the sexist, racist extremists that are on the fringes. Do people like this in our country exist? Absolutely. Could Trump be guilty of these accusations? Absolutely. But while the media and the Clinton campaign focuses on all of this, Hillary Clinton stands before us-an angel in a white pantsuit-at the final presidential debate. Saint Hillary will come to save us all. Make no mistake-that wardrobe choice was no accident!
The “angel” in the pantsuit laughed at accusations and during some instances, looked downright uncomfortable:

We hear Black lives matter, Muslim lives matter, LGBT lives matter, illegal immigrant lives matter, toddler lives matter, women’s lives matter, even feelings of college cupcakes matter because they are of value to getting Hillary Rodham Clinton elected. We’re still waiting for her stance on where the lives of the unborn fall. Or those of our fallen law enforcement officers. Or her respect for deceased service members who died in combat who are not Muslims but Christians. What about our national security and the desire to place scrutiny on who enters our borders? When we claim to wrap our arms around these lives and desire them to be included in Hillary’s list, we are accused of bigotry, racism, American Supremacism. It is plain as day that these fringes of society are not on her agenda because they will not get her back in that White House. And sadly, once she is in there, her groups that she plans to “champion”, will not be on the list, either. Mark my words. While Hillary Clinton calls Donald Trump self-serving and power-hungry, could it be her venom for him comes from a deep-seated knowledge of the evil and corruption she possesses within herself? Sadly, it may be too late for some to see this and those honest-to-goodness simple folks who just want a peaceful existence in this country we all love will vote for the “competent woman who has experience and won’t get us blown into oblivion”. (And they call us Republicans fear-mongers?)
Hillary Clinton strategically uses words like “troubling”, “horrifying”, “terrifying”, “dangerous”, “dark”…and…how can we forget–“deplorable” and throws them at Trump. All hail, Hillary Rodham Clinton-the saint in all white, locking up her votes. Batting eyelashes a-flutter, she looked like the perfect, angelic solution to the bigotry and hate that this country needs-a strong woman to be the “champion” of us all, to combat this hate. Hate that has been magnified by the “devil in the red power tie”-the single, solitary Donald J. Trump. (Because we were all one big, freaken happy family until he came along, don’t ‘cha know?) Those who have committed to casting their ballots for HRC see this and not the troubled expressions and nervous laughter after accusations that may portray her as the angel with dirty wings. They see DJT’s overpowering presence. They see him rolling his eyes, pointing his fingers at their Heavenly Hillary-savior and their deliverer from evil and AMEN-the ballot is cast. They don’t see a resume of empty promises. They don’t see the duplicity. They don’t see years of corruption. And they don’t see the lies. They are the people we love and they have fallen hook, line and sinker for the Hillary charade.
I believe there is more potential for the upside with Donald Trump while with Hillary Clinton all are indications are that her direction will be for the downside.
Moreover, it is more likely that Congress will be a limiting factor, should the GOP maintain its majority), for a President Trump while with a President Clinton they’re more likely to be colluders.
Perhaps, with a President Trump, flaws and all, he might be a transition to a more conservative Executive Branch. Not so with a Clinton in the Oval Office.
We have to call them as we see them. This is how, in part, I see the matter and intend to vote accordingly.
Absolutely agreed, VALman.
