Democrats Decide Trump Is At Fault For Los Angeles Riots

The riots have been steadily escalating for days now in Los Angeles, but the Democrats have settled on a narrative, and it is “ORANGE MAN BAD.”

The ICE protests, which started out aggressive and violent to begin with, have now devolved into a free-for-all. The LAPD and other law enforcement on the ground have not been able to get control of the situation, and protect federal agents going about their business. With that happening, President Trump had the legal standing to deploy the National Guard, as was stated in the presidential memorandum that was issued on Saturday.

Numerous incidents of violence and disorder have recently occurred and threaten to continue in response to the enforcement of Federal law by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other United States Government personnel who are performing Federal functions and supporting the faithful execution of Federal immigration laws. In addition, violent protests threaten the security of and significant damage to Federal immigration detention facilities and other Federal property. To the extent that protests or acts of violence directly inhibit the execution of the laws, they constitute a form of rebellion against the authority of the Government of the United States.

In light of these incidents and credible threats of continued violence, by the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby call into Federal service members and units of the National Guard under 10 U.S.C. 12406 to temporarily protect ICE and other United States Government personnel who are performing Federal functions, including the enforcement of Federal law, and to protect Federal property, at locations where protests against these functions are occurring or are likely to occur based on current threat assessments and planned operations. Further, I direct and delegate actions as necessary for the Secretary of Defense to coordinate with the Governors of the States and the National Guard Bureau in identifying and ordering into Federal service the appropriate members and units of the National Guard under this authority. The members and units of the National Guard called into Federal service shall be at least 2,000 National Guard personnel and the duration of duty shall be for 60 days or at the discretion of the Secretary of Defense. In addition, the Secretary of Defense may employ any other members of the regular Armed Forces as necessary to augment and support the protection of Federal functions and property in any number determined appropriate in his discretion.

The National Guard was barely on the ground before California Democrats started saying that the escalation in violence was all Trump’s fault – for sending in the National Guard. Mayor Karen Bass, whose face still looks like a Botoxed imitation of the Joker’s grin, is insisting that if ICE would just stop, then everything would be just fine.

Echoing statements made by Gov. Gavin Newsom and other state officials, Bass admonished President Trump and federal leaders for federalizing the state’s national guard.

“Let’s be real about this. This is about another agenda. It’s not about public safety,’ Bass said at the press conference. “There is clearly no plan, and I want the people of Los Angeles to know that we stand with all Angelinos no matter where you were born.”

The mayor noted that the First Amendment allows residents to protest peacefully but does not grant demonstrators the right to violence and to vandalize property, and that those types of actions will not be tolerated.

Bass then pivoted to several workplace raids conducted by ICE agents on Friday that ignited demonstrations in the city.

“In the beginning, the administration said they were just looking for dangerous felons, violent people,” she said. “It’s hard to say that’s what they found at a workplace and in a Home Depot parking lot. When this happens, it terrifies people. It sends a sense of fear and chaos in our city.”

Speaking of Governor Hairgel, podcast bro Gavin Newsom is very much blaming President Trump for what is happening on the ground. He sent a letter to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth demanding that the National Guard be given back to his control, stating on X that this was an “unlawful deployment of troops in Los Angeles county” and “We didn’t have a problem until Trump got involved.” That demand has apparently fallen on deaf ears while the city goes up in smoke.

Newsom is very good at fiddling and looking busy while things burn around him. And remember that “provoked by chaos from Washington” line. That is akin to a domestic abuser saying that because you called the cops, the beatings are going to get worse, and it’s your fault for making it that way. Or to put it another way…

Adding to the cacophony of Democrats was Kamala Harris. The former vice president decided that now, days after law and order had failed to get a grip on Los Angeles, was the time to speak up on X.

Los Angeles is my home. And like so many Americans, I am appalled at what we are witnessing on the streets of our city. Deploying the National Guard is a dangerous escalation meant to promote chaos. In addition to the recent ICE raids in Southern California and across our nation, it is part of the Trump Administration’s cruel, calculated agenda to spread panic and division.

This Administration’s actions are not about public safety – they’re about stoking fear. Fear of a community demanding dignity and due process.

Protest is a powerful tool – essential in the fight for justice. And as the LAPD, Mayor, and Governor have noted, demonstrations in defense of our immigrant neighbors have been overwhelmingly peaceful.

I continue to support millions of Americans who are standing up to protect our most fundamental rights and freedoms.

Oh, the leadership. Oh, the charisma. No wonder she’s currently dropping in the polls among Democrats considering their options for 2028.

And while all these Democrats are grandstanding, Los Angeles is in the grip of a riot. Cars have been lit on fire en masse. There is rampant destruction and vandalism. The police have lost control of the situation. And this is Trump’s fault?

The narrative from Democrats has been set. It’s Trump’s fault. ICE enforced the law and made the activists mad – it’s Trump’s fault. Protesters start setting things on fire – it’s Trump’s fault. The National Guard gets activated to protect ICE – it’s Trump’s fault. People riot and set more things on fire while waving Mexican flags – it’s Trump’s fault. Well, someone forgot to inform the people on the ground what the narrative was supposed to be.

Whoops. I guess law enforcement is tired of having rocks thrown at them. Perhaps the LAPD should take the rooftop Koreans up on their offer and deputize them. There is no indication that the Democrats that run California are going to be able to get a handle on this situation anytime soon.

Democrats like to use an old argument: “Look what you made us do!” Sad that they try to blame others for their bad behavior. Gotta wonder who would ever vote Democrat again ???
