Decent People Shun Public Service – Can You Blame Them?

Have you ever wondered why so few quality people want to get into public service? I am not talking about  the leeches who are in it for the federal benefits, which aren’t even all that generous, judging by how many people my former agency has lost to the private sector over the past 3-4 years. I’m talking about high-profile jobs that need legislative confirmation. I’m talking about positions in the highest levels of government. Ever wonder why we end up with scum?

Ever wonder why power-hungry, corruptocrats who lie, cheat, and sexually harass coworkers, or use their power for personal gain seem to infest our government? Ever wonder why more and more shady, corrupt leeches enter public service, while decent government employees refuse to engage or simply leave?

I’ll tell you why. Brett Kavanaugh is why.

Robert Bork is why.

Ronny Jackson is why.

Herman Cain is why. (Note how quickly Cain’s accusers disappeared and were never heard from again after maligning him and forcing him to end his Presidential run)

Lives are ruined. Names are dragged through the mud. Families are threatened. And the media digs up every old transgression, every allegation, every college prank, and every mistake a nominee or candidate has ever made, creating a purity test practically no human could pass, unless said human spent his or her childhood chained to a radiator. They pretend they want to weed out the unqualified, unethical, or criminal contenders, but what they really want to do is destroy lives.

Elections have turned into nasty, disgusting clown shows, with candidates denigrating their opponents and competing for first place in the “Let’s See Who Can Find the Most Dirt” contest, rather than focusing on the positives they would bring to the office.

Why? Probably because they have nothing to offer.

As I mentioned in a previous piece, a Virginia Democrat recently accused her opponent of being into Bigfoot pr0n! Because a candidate who likes to watch Sasquatch get it on, apparently doesn’t belong in public office!

Luckily Denver Riggleman rolled with the punches and took advantage of the ludicrousness of Leslie Cockburn’s allegation by doing several interviews, including one with Rolling Stone, denying his belief in Bigfoot and ridiculing his opponent, but getting much deserved publicity out of the insanity.

But not everyone is this lucky.

Sarah Palin’s family was dragged through the mud, making her wonder if running for Vice President was even worth it.

“There were times when I wasn’t sure; when it was everything Todd and I could do not to lash out at the forces threatening our family. More than once, I thought, How could this be worth it? Let’s just go back to Wasilla and stop feeding the media beast. Let’s give ourselves and our family a break,” Palin writes.

The attacks on her family were so repugnant – especially little Trig – that one had to wonder what cavernous, dank, moldy twat birthed the imbecilic shit canoes launching these attacks.

Some Republican staffer twat, who apparently no longer has a political career, demeaned Barack Obama’s children a few years ago for not having the comportment she thought they should at a Thanksgiving turkey pardoning event.

In her post, Lauten also took a dig at the president and first lady, saying “your mother and father don’t respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I’m guessing you’re coming up a little short in the ‘good role model’ department.”

Hours after the original post, Lauten followed up with a second post apologizing for her critique. “I quickly judged the two young ladies in a way that I would never have wanted to be judged myself as a teenager,” she wrote.

“After many hours of prayer, talking to my parents, and re-reading my words online I can see more clearly just how hurtful my words were. . . . I pledge to learn and grow (and I assure you I have) from this experience.”

And who can forget the Bush twins and the harassment they faced from those who hated their father!

And now, Brett Kavanaugh.

Brett Kavanaugh’s life is ruined. None of the allegations against him can be proven, but the accusers continue their publicity tours, while liberal swine such as Dianne Feinstein and that twisted Hirono bitch grandstand for the howling social justice masses, and sniffily claim that victims must be believed regardless of actual evidence, while men need to just shut up. Even if Kavanaugh eventually gets confirmed, he will always be tainted by these unfair allegations – accusations that no one has corroborated, and some so obscene and repugnant, that one has to cringe at the pain Kavanaugh must be feeling as he is accused of being a rapist, a liar, and even a pedophile, as his wife and children are threatened and demeaned.

Meanwhile, lying sows like this Swetnick hag will simply go back to their regular lives and jobs after lobbing the “gang rape” grenade at Kavanaugh.

No one will care that this Ramirez person‘s allegations haven’t been corroborated, that she was too drunk to know who waggled his winky in her face, if anyone at all, and that not a single person remembers the incident.

No one will care that the Swetnick harpy was an adult – a college student – still attending high school parties, even after she was ostensibly “gang raped” at one of them and witnessed numerous alleged instances of sexual assault. Yeah, because every rape victim keeps attending get-togethers where they got sexually assaulted. Totally normal!

No one will care that Ford can’t prove her allegations, because she was emotional and teary-eyed, and idiot liberals (but I repeat myself) are unable to tell the difference between a credible witness and a sympathetic one. Here’s a clue, fucktards: the two are not the same!

Is it any wonder Kavanaugh wondered in his opening testimony why anyone would want to put themselves and their families through the meat grinder of seeking a public service position? And he is right. The repercussions will continue long after this nomination hearing ends.

The consequences will extend long past my nomination, the consequences will be with us for decades. this grotesque and coordinated character assassination will dissuade competent and good people of all political persuasions from serving our country and as we all know, in the United States political system of the early 2000s, what goes around comes around. I am an optimistic guy, I always try to be on the sunrise side of the mountain, to be optimistic about the day that is coming, but today I have to say that I fear for the future.

I fear for the future too.

I fear that my son – one of the kindest, gentlest, most generous, decent souls on the planet today – will some day be accused by some shrill, attention seeking femorrhoid of something unthinkable.

I fear that my daughter will one day be a victim of sexual assault, and she will not be believed when she reports, because these obscene gargoyles have tainted real victims and cast doubt on real allegations.

I fear that only corrupt reprobates will end up in government service, because no decent human being will want to expose family and friends to the type of ordeal orchestrated by the Democrats in the fucktastic ass show that was the Kavanaugh hearing.

And I fear for my country, because when good people refuse to enter public service, bad people will fill the void. And when we abandon all principles of fairness, justice, decency, morality, and due process in favor of partisanship and political wrangling, we abandon the fundamental principles on which this nation was built.

That’s when dog-felching dickcheeses like the creepy porn lawyer run for President and win, because nature abhors a vacuum. And our nation becomes a sideshow for the world to gawk at, point, and laugh.

#BASTA this, vermin!

A thought, now that the FBI will be doing a week investigation into the three complainants alleging sex crimes against Brett,,,, Will they make criminal referrals for folks found to be intentionally lying to derail the senate confirmation process. They could start with the lawyers for the three women raiding their offices as they did for Cohen

unless said human spent his or her childhood chained to a radiator is a progressive Democrat.
    FIFY, Marta.

I’m gonna ask why you’re going easy on them with that one, Marta. Because, yeah, these folks are… *smdh*

    Brett Kavanaugh’s life is ruined.
Oh, I don’t know about that. There’s no upward mobility he has to worry about from SCOTUS, and he’s not likely to be fired (impeached) over this. For a time, his family will have to endure the slings and arrows of outrageous morons. But, then, some other poor sap will come along and the mob will go braying after them.

Meanwhile, lying sows like this Swetnick hag will simply go back to their regular lives
If I were an officemate of hers, I would be reporting her libel as a security issue, related to all those clearances she has held. I’d bring it to the IG, as well.
Oh, I would also look into statutes of limitation on Conspiracy to Commit Rape, based on her sworn confession of failing to report and continuing to attend these parties, and swear out a criminal complaint against her, if possible.

And when we abandon all principles of fairness, justice, decency, morality, and due process in favor of partisanship and political wrangling, we abandon the fundamental principles on which this nation was built.
And, in doing so, we destroy the Republic, itself.
Sadly, this is not the beginning of that destruction, but the end. We can see the sag in the wall as the sappers dig under it.

    dog-felching dickcheeses
    Nice one.
Why is it that 95% of lawyers give the rest a bad name?

We really need to enforce the “republican form of government” clause on some of the states that continue to send these bad actors and those desirous of destroying our Republic to congress.

      As to destroying our Republic….

Does this Twatter even understand the inversion of reality in his tweet?
Tell me again why we shouldn’t confront Republicans where they eat, where they sleep, and where they work until they stop being complicit in the destruction of our democracy.

Let’s just say I’m a little familiar with Treasury security stuff. IF this bitch has a clearance and is pulling this shit, believe me when I tell you that security is well aware already.
