After six weeks of a whole lot of stupid—and many, many months of our veterans being treated like garbage (if they’re treated at all)—House and Senate negotiators claim that they’ve reached a deal to ‘fix’ the VA.
The chairmen of the House and Senate Veterans Affairs committees have scheduled a news conference Monday afternoon to unveil a plan expected to authorize billions in emergency spending to lease 27 new clinics, hire more doctors and nurses and make it easier for veterans who can’t get prompt appointments with VA doctors to obtain outside care.
[…] The plan set to be announced Monday is intended to “make VA more accountable and to help the department recruit more doctors, nurses and other health care professionals,” Miller and Sanders said.
Let’s break this down. We have between 1000-3500 illegals coming in a day, and those are only the ones who turn themselves into Border Patrol. That’s not counting the ones who just walk on in and disappear into the country never to be seen again…until they turn up at a flight school wanting to learn how to fly and aircraft and not land it, that is. We do not have the resources for this, and yet now, our illustrious government tells us that they can allocate “billions in emergency spending” to hire a bunch of folks and that will fix the whole VA thing. In short, we’re going to throw money we don’t have at it, and hope that takes care of the whole thing.
There’s a joke going around that in order to get seen, veterans need to go to Mexico and then cross the border and turn themselves in to Border Patrol. Perhaps, considering the number of cartel assassins and known gang members that are pouring in, vets should also consider a neck tattoo, to increase the chances of them being welcomed back into the country they served with their bodies and their lives.
America is absolutely and utterly lost as a nation. When we treat illegals better than the citizens who have dedicated themselves to this nation’s protection, there is no coming back from that.
