Remember when Mr. Obama, during his speech after winning the 2008 election, flanked by faux columns, amid a vast crowd of cheering, weeping supporters uttered,”I will be your President, too,” and “Change has come to America.” These are the two lines from that historic speech that I recall vividly. I also recall my reaction: “Yeah, right” to the first, and sheer terror to the second.
As if spying on the AP weren’t enough, and the possibility of yet another scandal brewing (h/t Drudge Report), it is now being reported that the Obama Justice Department secretly targeted three staff members at Fox News, two years ago, naming James Rosen, a journalist with an exemplary career, as a “co-conspirator” for, well, doing his job. Fox News Michael Clemente, Executive Vice President of News, defended Mr. Rosen in a statement issued Monday:
“We are outraged to learn today that James Rosen was named a criminal co-conspirator for simply doing his job as a reporter,” Clemente said. “In fact, it is downright chilling. We will unequivocally defend his right to operate as a member of what up until now has always been a free press.”
For years, Conservatives and the Tea Party have warned Americans that Barack Obama possessed dictator-like tendancies. We were ignored, then ridiculed, then labeled “racist” by a sycophantic media and many Democrats. Tea Partiers were deemed “terrorists” by Vice President Joe Biden, and “Tea Baggers” by Mr. Obama himself. Is that what passes for an everyman’s President? Seems what he meant was “Change has come to America, but… if you’re not with us, you’re a terrorist, and thus a target for a domestic drone.”
Cue the pit-bull IRS. This past week, more and more stories have emerged about how the IRS targeted Conservative groups, and individuals, based purely upon ideology, and, more recently, even those criticizing his mishandling of Benghazi. There were no Progressive groups audited, mind you; many of their 501c(4) applications were fast-tracked. There is no doubt that the IRS engaged in profiling Conservatives, Unconstitutionally silencing their speech.
Change has come to America all right, in the form of a tyrannical federal government. But then, we told ya so. The hyper-partisan, fellow-American vilifying Obama Regime has picked a fight with the Tea Party and any other critic, and now with the media, trampling all over the First Amendment rights of both. Obama’s White House couldn’t have provoked two more formidable opponents; hell, you’ve gone and pissed on Megyn Kelly – oh, my, what a very bad idea. Mr. Obama can keep asserting he knew nothing. And maybe he didn’t (again, yeah, right). But what that leaves us with is a woefully inept, incompetent, and impotent president who doesn’t know what his Left hand is doing when it’s not playing golf. Either scenario, conspiracy or ignorance, is dangerous to the health of our Republic. Richard Nixon resigned for far less, and left no dead Americans in his wake. It’s time for Mr. Obama to step down. He is not, nor has he ever been, my president, too.
Bummed out? Angered? Depressed? At wits end? I turn to these at such times.

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate — we can not consecrate — we can not hallow — this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us — that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion — that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain — that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
