Joe Biden’s Gaza Pier to nowhere was more of a failure than we thought. Remember, this floating pier was to be built because the Biden Administration wanted to be seen as ‘doing something’ to get humanitarian aid to Gaza civilians.
And they, Joe specifically, pinky swore to the world that there would be no boots on the ground whatsoever. None. Zip. Nada.
Well, any rational person knew this whole Gaza Pier to nowhere was nothing more than a publicity stunt. And this week we find out that the debacle was worse than we thought.

Yes, we were told about the American soldier, Sgt. Quandarius Stanley, who was injured and died five months later. Yes we were told that a couple of others were injured. And yes, we told you that the pier was a floating disaster that was abandoned after less than a month of use.
Absolute travesty and scandal.

But now we find out that SIXTY TWO soldiers were injured during the build!
While there were no deaths or known direct attacks on the pier, the Pentagon had said three U.S. troops suffered non-combat injuries in support of the pier in May, with one medically evacuated in critical condition.
But the new report by the Pentagon Inspector General said that the number was actually 62.
“Based on the information provided, we were not able to determine which of these 62 injuries occurred during the performance of duties or resulted off duty or from pre-existing medical conditions,” the report said. The pier became a sore point in Congress, where Republicans branded it a political stunt by Biden, who was under pressure from fellow Democrats to do more to aid Palestinians after months of staunchly supporting Israel’s punishing war on Hamas.
I like how the report tap-dances around how and when the soldiers were injured.
Whether Reuters wants to admit it or not, the Gaza Pier was indeed a major publicity stunt.
American taxpayers unwillingly forked over $230 million dollars to build a floating pier that was operational for barely twenty days. And we have nothing to show for it but lives lost and 62 soldiers injured.
Today the media is bleating about how dangerous the DoD, Pentagon, Trump, and Hegseth are to our military.
They want us to ignore the fact that Biden’s DoD was utter chaos on multiple levels.
There was confusion throughout the U.S. military on responsibility to answer basic questions about the pier mission. Officials at Central Command, the Pentagon and the Army referred questions to each other.

More than two dozen watercraft and other equipment were damaged, causing about $31 million in repair and maintenance costs, the inspector general report found, citing numerous failings. The Army and Navy did not meet standards for equipment and unit readiness, the report said, “nor did they organize, train, and equip their forces to meet common joint standards.” Transportation Command, which oversees coordination of military assets, also fell short of standards in planning and exercises, the report found.
It gets worse. There was a communication failure and equipment issues before the project even started.
Most of the problems were built into the operation before it got under way. The IG found that the Army and Navy had systematically downsized their joint logistics over the shore (JLOTS) capabilities since 2018, leaving remaining units undermanned and underequipped for the mission. The Army had cut its watercraft division’s inventory from 134 vessels down to 64, and the Navy had eliminated one of its two JLOTS units. The surviving units had a low (but undisclosed) mission readiness rate, and had a hard time meeting manning requirements for watercraft. Officials involved in the deployment told the IG after the fact that “the DoD’s current JLOTS capabilities were not sufficient to meet projected needs.”
In addition, the Army and Navy pontoon systems were different and resulted in damage when used together; they were designed with different amounts of freeboard, and Army boats would ram into and puncture the sides of taller Navy pontoons. After challenges experienced in a previous exercise, the services had concluded that these systems could not be used together – but they were still deployed and combined for the operation off Gaza.
And people wonder why Sec Def Hegseth wants to get rid of the top-heavy command structure, streamline operations, and bring military readiness and capability up to speed.
The Gaza pier is a case study of the military generals.

They will say yes to something they:
1. know 100% their Soldiers can’t do
2. Are delusionally optimistic about, despite all data indicators.
3. Actually think can be done and be FLOORED when it fails.
Zero trust. https://t.co/Z0kY4R2hJy pic.twitter.com/HKeONpDC6Z
Which INCLUDES updating equipment and communications!
I don’t know if USAID was funding Politico, but I do know they’re one of the few outlets with reporters at the Department of Transportation.

I do know that when one of @PeteButtigieg’s Merchant Marine supply ships caught fire en route to the Gaza pier, they buried the story.… https://t.co/hQHvzMWLZ0
The pier operation didn’t even last a month. If any humanitarian aid made it to actual people in need, we will never know. $230 million dollars or more later and over $31 million in equipment damage, we now know that the Biden Administration’s pier to nowhere was an abject failure that put the lives of over 1000 soldiers at risk…for a mere publicity stunt.

Now Nina…. it wasn’t JUST a publicity stunt… like everything else the demonrats do, it was also a money laundering scam.. when the merchant marine ships Petey Buttplug was responsible for couldn’t get the job done, and private entities had to be called in to haul the wreckage back to our shores, is there any doubt that the companies involved had significant ties to prominent democrats? Or that the Pedo in Chief got his 10%???
