Just when you thought Joe Biden has gone quietly to his basement to retire, watch Matlock re-runs at full volume and eat all of the pudding cups he wants, he shows up again.

Biden showed up on the public stage last night at the Advocates, Counselors and Representatives for the Disabled (ACRD) conference in Chicago. The former president appears to just be talking under Bruce I Hate America Springsteen for a little less than 30 seconds. It’s as if he did not realize the music was still on:

ACRD is an advocacy organization made of predominantly lawyers, who work to equip “disability professionals with the tools, technology, and training to lead the industry forward,”, according to their website. Joe Biden was on the podium to talk about Social Security. But first, Biden reminisces about his days in Wilmington, Delaware and seeing “colored kids” on a school bus.

I was only going in fourth grade. And I remember seeing kids going by, at the time called ‘colored kids,’ on a bus go by — they never turned right to go to Claymont High School.

The outrage.Colored kids.That’s what they called them at the time. I’m willing to wager this is what he still calls them. Surprised he wasn’t looking for the now dead, Robert Byrd in the audience on this one. Joe Biden. Such a champion he is for the black community. He was so outraged as a wee little boy before sprouting leg hair, that he did not want to be instrumental in the desegregation of schools and the creation of “all those racial jungles” of the 70s. All about DIGNITY is Joe. So much so, that he yells for a few minutes after telling this story. Don’t worry, you do not have to watch the whole excruciating display I posted above; I will provide the spoiler: Biden also channels his whispers to his imaginary friends later on.

Joe Biden was not on stage to tell stories of his youth, he was on stage “defending” Social Security. He claims Trump and his team have taken a hatchet to the program.

My friend Gov. O’Malley knows what they’re really up to. He says, and I love his quote, ‘They want to wreck it so they could rob it.’ They want to wreck it so they could rob it. Why do they want to rob it? In order to deliver huge tax cuts to billionaires and big corporations and keep it going.

What they always do … by running up the national debt, number one. Then by taking the money from someplace else. What are the two big pots of money out there in raw numbers? Social Security and Medicaid. Republicans, these guys are willing to hurt the middle class and the working class, in order to deliver significant, greater wealth to their already very wealthy. Who in the hell do they think they are?”-Joe Biden

Dear God. And we know what Joe Biden was really up to during his time in The White House. Ten percent for The Big Guy. Joe Biden has lived a life making back-door deals to benefit himself and his family in his years of “public servitude”. Incompetent of any other strategy, he turned to his advisers and other powerful forces on the left to carry out policies during his presidency that have been increasingly damaging to our society as a whole. The bloat, the waste, the dangerous partnerships with countries who hate us and the blatant silence from him when the proverbial s#it hit the fan. Now, he wants to be back in the public eye and “save America”? He asks the current admin “who the hell do they think they are?”

Who in the hell does he think he is?

CNN‘s take on this speech is nothing short of awesome, however. They are positioning the former president as a force to be reckoned with.

People close to Biden are calling this a period of ‘reconnecting, rebuilding and reflecting’ — with his grandchildren, with old friends, with movies and books he missed, even just with a wife he now gets to see for more of the day than only dinner.-Edward-Isaac Dovere, CNN

Oh, and how “Dr”. Jill must love all of the extra company and time with this demented fool. Can’t jet off to Paris to do her own speaking engagements as FLOTUS anymore. She gets quality time with Joe. Oh, Karma. You do have a sense of humor.

Biden has also been putting together thoughts for an upcoming book. Thoughts? Watching the above, it seems as though the guy can barely string together a sentence, let alone a coherent thought. He will probably talk about how HE made America the “strongest economy in the world”:

You know, folks, I spent the last two years of my presidency hearing the press and the pundits talking about how I was about to send the country into a recession. Remember that? It was relentless. Well, guess what? It never happened. We did not have a recession when I was president. But, do you want to know what we did have? We had the strongest economy in the world.”-Joe Biden

We still do, Joe. It will be a lot stronger when we get rid of the unnecessary fluff; which does not include Social Security benefits.

Biden speeches are like jazz… no structure, random notes, and somehow everyone pretends it's deep. Social Security didn’t even make it past the first paragraph of his time-traveling memoir.
