Democrats are busily trying to figure out why it is they’re likely to get their butts handed to them in November. Some of them get it — they’re avoiding mentioning Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and anything remotely related to the agenda they’ve pushed for the last two years. Others can’t figure out why voters are so angry with them, Obama, Pelosi, and Reid in particular. There’s whining about racism, there’s talk of how voters are just too ignorant to get it, there’s finger-pointing at the evil right wing conspiracy for brainwashing everyone, there’s excuse after excuse after excuse.

The reality? Voters hate everything Democrats have done.

Gallup has released a new poll asking respondents to assess the major accomplishments of Congress in the last two years: the national health care bill, the stimulus, the bailout of auto companies, the bailout of major banks and financial institutions, and the financial regulatory reform bill. The pollsters found majority opposition to all those measures, with the exception of financial reform.

The numbers: Bank bailouts, 61 percent disapprove versus 37 percent approve; national health care, 56 percent disapprove versus 39 percent approve; auto bailouts, 56 percent disapprove versus 43 percent approve; stimulus, 52 percent disapprove versus 43 percent approve. Only financial reform, with 61 percent approve versus 37 percent disapprove, is a winner for the representatives and senators seeking re-election.

This isn’t exactly surprising. There were millions of Americans protesting the socialist big government agenda every step of the way. Democrats ignored them. They used secretive corrupt backroom deals. They lied and they passed massive legislation that reshaped our country while admitting they hadn’t even read it.

And now they’re wondering why voters are angry? They are voted into office to represent their constituents. Not one Democrat in office has done that. Liberals are running around giving all of these ridiculous reasons that they’re likely to get stomped, but they can’t for the life of them figure out what they actually did wrong, despite the simplicity of the matter. They’re getting voted out because they ignored their constituents, because they lied to Americans, and because they forced a socialist agenda down our throats that we did not want. And it’s a good thing. People this narcissistic and deluded cannot remember that they are public servants, not royalty — and they do not deserve the honor of being a public servant anymore.
