Yesterday’s ABC interview was illuminating and disturbing. Why? Because, it showed just how incompetent Joe Biden is.
Buyers remorse was starting to kick in, and then Afghanistan happened. In a few short days, members of the media who were 100% all in on all things Biden started questioning his motives, his tactics, and his behavior. Buyers remorse started escalating even more with Biden’s cruel speech on Monday, his refusal to take questions, the image of him sitting all by his lonesome at the briefing table at Camp David while everyone on screen ignores him, the Covid lecture while ignoring Afghanistan, and now his interview with George Stephanopolis.
A couple of highlights from the interview transcript.
But I wonder how you respond to an Army Special Forces officer, Javier McKay (PH). He did seven tours. He was shot twice. He agrees with you. He says, “We have to cut our losses in Afghanistan.” But he adds, “I just wish we could’ve left with honor.”
BIDEN: Look, that’s like askin’ my deceased son Beau, who spent six months in Kosovo and a year in Iraq as a Navy captain and then major– I mean, as an Army major. And, you know, I’m sure h– he had regrets comin’ out of Afganista– I mean, out of Iraq.

Look, before I made this decision, I met with all our allies, our NATO allies in Europe. They agreed. We should be getting out.
STEPHANOPOULOS: Did they have a choice?
BIDEN: Sure, they had a choice. Look, the one thing I promise you in private, NATO allies are not quiet. You remember from your old days. They’re not gonna be quiet. And so– and by the way, you know, what we’re gonna be doing is we’re gonna be putting together a group of the G-7, the folks that we work with the most– to– I was on the phone with– with Angela Merkel today. I was on the phone with the British prime minister. I’m gonna be talking to Macron in France to make sure we have a coherent view of how we’re gonna deal from this point on.
Two things from those quotes.
Biden’s incompetence is so glaring that the UK Parliament went ON record with their censure of Joe Biden over this Afghanistan debacle.
“The West could not continue this US-led mission – a mission conceived and executed in support and defence of America – without American logistics, without US air power and without American might,” the Prime Minister said in a clear swipe at Washington.
MPs from all sides of the Commons were forceful in their criticism. Sir Keir Starmer, the Labour leader, said: “The US is, of course, an important ally, but to overlook the fighting of the Afghan troops and forces, and the fact that they have been at the forefront of that fighting in recent years, is wrong.”
When you’ve lost the confidence of one of our greatest allies in the world, and it takes two days for Biden to return Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s call… You can damned well bet that all of Parliament has viewed the ABC interview and read or is reading the transcript and thinking, yep, censuring Biden was absolutely necessary.
EXCLUSIVE: @GStephanopoulos: “Do you believe the Taliban have changed?”
— ABC News (@ABC) August 19, 2021
Pres. Biden: “I think they’re going through sort of an existential crisis about do they want to be recognized by the int’l community as being a legitimate government.” https://t.co/zgMVDKleiv pic.twitter.com/Bgxenaydap
What in the hell? The ONLY existential crisis the Taliban has had is that they lost power for twenty years! Keep in mind, on July 8 Biden unequivocally said he doesn’t trust the Taliban. But NOW he’s talking about some existential crisis crap? This after the Taliban now has their grubby hands on over 2,000 U.S. military vehicles, 30-40 planes, and an untold number of small arms??
Then there’s this:
EXCLUSIVE: Asked about July comment that a Taliban takeover was “highly unlikely,” Pres. @JoeBiden tells @GStephanopoulos, “there was no consensus” in the intelligence. “They said it was more likely to be by the end of the year.” https://t.co/NmBEmVRw8M pic.twitter.com/LSXSC51ox8

Biden also said in his interview that troops may stay past August 31 to ensure everyone is out. State Department says otherwise.
Pentagon press secretary John Kirby says there has been no change to the August 31 deadline: "There has been no decision to change the deadline, and we are focused on doing everything we can inside that deadline to move as many people out as possible.” https://t.co/cCZ35FFmgh pic.twitter.com/bEYlhIpLiX

Joe Biden’s incompetence as a leader is appalling. Read the entire transcript of the interview and you’ll understand why. If ABC News is brave enough to release the entire UNEDITED interview, I’m sure it will be even worse than the transcript shows.
Biden insists that there was no way to withdraw from Afghanistan without chaos ensuing.
YOU THINK? It’s a total shit show in Afghanistan and specifically Kabul, yet Biden says that at least “no one’s being killed right now.”
The man is incompetent. The ABC News interview has shown the world just how incompetent Biden is. There is no mistaking it.
