Brett Kavanaugh kept extensive calendars and records for years. People couldn’t fathom folks doing such a thing. In my view, Kavanaugh was channeling Alex P. Keaton, but I digress. The calendars were released this morning and people are pouring over them with a microscope! But WAIT! Who is Julie Swetnick?
Brett Kavanaugh’s calendar from 1982 is filled with nostalgia of the times and seemingly endless cliches that one would expect from a teenager growing up in a middle-class family.
“FOOTBALL CAMP STARTS,” was marked across one day in August 1982. “Go to Rocky III” reads an entry June 13, 1982. Later that same week, he went to see “Grease II.”
Me? I was giggling about the fact that he was grounded three weekends in a row. Then there were the trips with his folks, his grandfather, sports camps and college interviews. But of course, far too many are now pointing to the sworn statements from Ford’s husband and three of her friends as PROOF!!
Here’s the problem with that. Not a single one of those statements offers anything called evidence. Not. A. Shred. The ONLY thing those statements show is that Christine Blasey Ford TOLD people something happened. She offered no evidence of any kind to back up her claims. I’m not an attorney, but this just reeks of hearsay IMO.
Now, suddenly there’s a third victim out there! Michael Avanetti has grandly announced he has a client who has absolute PROOF that Kavanaugh is a partier and a rapist, and dumps this on Twitter.
Below is my correspondence to Mr. Davis of moments ago, together with a sworn declaration from my client. We demand an immediate FBI investigation into the allegations. Under no circumstances should Brett Kavanaugh be confirmed absent a full and complete investigation. pic.twitter.com/QHbHBbbfbE

And within seconds Julie Swetnick’s name was trending all over. Her statement appears to confirm Avenatti’s assertions of excessive drinking and gang rape.
“I witnessed Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh drink excessively and engage in highly inappropriate conduct, including being overly aggressive with girls and not taking ‘No’ for an answer. This conduct included the fondling and grabbing of girls without their consent,” Swetnick writes.
“I also witnessed efforts by Mark Judge, Brett Kavanaugh and others to cause girls to become inebriated and disoriented so they could then be ‘gang raped’ in a side room or bedroom by a ‘train’ of numerous boys … These boys included Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh … In approximately 1982, I became the victim of one of these ‘gang’ or ‘train’ rapes where Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh were present,” she added.
Oh. Ok. Except when one carefully reads through her statement, some interesting inconsistencies show up.
The only thing she alleges is that both Kavanaugh and Judge were at these so-called ‘gang rape’ parties.
The only thing she alleges is that Judge or Kavanaugh or both tried to spike the punch at these parties.
What is missing from her statement? Seems that Kavanaugh nor Judge for that matter even touched Swetnick.
Wait what? That’s exactly right folks. Read her statement thoroughly. Nowhere in that statement is anything that even points to Kavanaugh touching her or any other woman for that matter.
So is this proof? Is this the smoking gun that is going to finally crater Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination? Well… a couple of things to consider.
I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that Avenatti’s allegation didn’t slot in an alleged date (“Beach Week”) until after Kavanaugh’s calendars were made public, using the exact term he put on his calendar. https://t.co/JjZewp9DVi

That’s quite a coincidence isn’t it?
Seems perfectly believable that this woman would have repeatedly observed Kavanaugh and Judge holding parties where they drugged women and lined them up for gang rape, and not only not reported it, but KEPT ATTENDING THOSE PARTIES

Yeah, that one is a puzzler alright.
Avenatti is on The View right now and was asked if his client is accusing Kavanaugh of sexual assault on her.
Avenatti dodges and doesn't answer the question.

Take a look. He is asked if Julie Swetnick is accusing Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her. Does he provide a yes or no answer?
Survey says! NO.
Remember, the FBI conducted SIX deep background checks on Kavanaugh over the years. How in the world did they miss uncovering details of gang rape parties? Swetnick asserts in her declaration that EVERYONE knew and most of Georgetown Prep participated in these parties. If that is true, then why wasn’t this uncovered during Neil Gorsuch’s hearing?
If those gang rape parties really happened, why didn’t anyone call the police?
Supposedly Swetnick holds a security clearance. She has submitted a sworn declaration that carries major penalties if she perjures herself and could end her career. So, she’s taken major step off the cliff here.
Brett Kavanaugh issued a statement.
Statement from Judge Brett Kavanaugh:
“This is ridiculous and from the Twilight
Zone. I don’t know who this is and this never happened."— Martha MacCallum (@marthamaccallum) September 26, 2018
Yes, folks, we are in a very nasty Twilight Zone episode. The only thing we have here is another allegation conveniently timed, one that provides ZERO witnesses and ZERO evidence.

Later that same week, he went to see “Grease II.”
That right there is reason to question his judgment. Drop his nomination, now!
Please read Julie Swetnick’s statement, sections 7,11,12 and 13.This woman alleges that she went to 10 parties where Mark Judge and Kavanaugh were present, that both men were involved in spiking punch to get girls drunk so that they could be preyed on sexually by the boys present, that she witnessed boys lining up for turns to have sex with girls in rooms, that there was gang rapes, that she herself was gang raped at one of these parties. She and her attorney Avenatti should be seriously investigated.I am forced to ask “Was she gang-raped at party no.1,party no.5,party no.10?Was she gang raped at an early party and she continued to go to the said parties until 10 had occurred or did she go to the parties, witness the gang-rapes and continue to go to the parties till she was gang-raped at the 10th party? If this is properly investigated,Avenatti and herself will surely be charged. Her allegations are illogical and consequently ludicrous.
There was a “Grease II”?
Oh, the humanity!
Admittedly, it did have Michelle Pfeiffer in it. And, as a teenager, myself, during that era, I can testify to her drawing power. (Heck, I had a crush on her well into my adult years.)
But, it was no Ladyhawke.
Ah, another fan of that lovely lady. My compliments on your good taste.
My second favorite movie, right after Princess Bride.
Kavanaugh went to see Grease II. But, Swetnick remembers seeing Risky Business.
this just reeks of hearsay IMO
Well, it goes to establish credibility. None of those people could testify to the event based on that, but it (ostensibly) establishes contemporaneous knowledge, which establishes some measure of credibility.
We demand an immediate FBI investigation into the allegations.
*SMDH* Did anyone get kidnapped across state lines? No? Then the FBI doesn’t have any bit of jurisdiction whatsoever. You’d think a LAWYER would *know* this.
Under no circumstances should Brett Kavanaugh be confirmed absent a full and complete investigation.
And this is where the whole thing breaks down. He goes right to the confirmation. He isn’t doing this for “truth, justice, and the American way’, but for partisan political purposes. Which corrupts the entire thing.
Nowhere in that statement is anything that even points to Kavanaugh touching her or any other woman for that matter.
Ummm, no. You’re wrong there.
I witnessed Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh…. This conduct included the fondling and grabbing of girls without their consent
Avenatti dodges and doesn’t answer the question.
THAT, otoh, is incriminating whether she’s accusing Kavanaugh of touching *her*.
most of Georgetown Prep participated in these parties
You know, if I were a Georgetown Prep grad from those years, I would sue for slander/libel, on the basis of being included in that statement. Because she’s alleging criminal conduct and a widespread criminal conspiracy (in a strict legal sense).
Supposedly Swetnick holds a security clearance.
So did Page and Strzok. So did Hansen and Pollard. So did Extreme Justice (or whatever her name is).
Again, I think something really did happen to Ford way back when, and it’s possible (which does not equal “probable”) Kavanaugh was involved*. The sad part is the other two accusations are crazy enough, and made without ANY support, that they make Ford look bad, like her accusation is simply partisan politics, too. (Well, that and all the Democrat politicians for whom it really is nothing but partisan politics.)
(* As to whether it should derail his confirmation, given decades of public good behavior, is another matter altogether.)
I honestly wonder if enough people would remember me from high school to deny some crazy allegations I made? Unfortunately (for these purposes – I’m otherwise very glad), my parents are still alive and would gladly slap me down in public if I made up such lies.
Thanks for the sober and impartial analysis. There’s so little of that nowadays.
Yumpin’ Yiminy! Someone dug up that Swetnick graduated in 1980?!? That means she was attending these alleged parties as an adult, and not reporting statutory rape!
I get the “going to HS parties when in college” bit to some extent. But you’re going to parties where you claim there was gang rape going on of minors, and you kept going?!? Wow.
(Oh, and if she graduated in 1980, then that picture of her being tossed out there is not current I’m betting.)
It looks like Ms. Swetnick has a penchant for filing complaints.
Where were these “parties” held? Ten of them means a lot of parents leaving their teen kids alone. These are not a few kids sneaking a beer in the pool house or the basement. These are alcohol and drug fueled blowouts. That requires no parents or neighbors to notice. And it also requires the parents of the kids returning home to not notice their kids drunk or high. Most of these kids weren’t even old enough to drive yet. How did they get around that? I think Avenatti has been watching too many of Stormy’s movies. This movie plot he’s concocted is ridiculous.
Who keeps calendars? Well, I suppose it’s one way of keeping a minimal dairy with little extra effort.
Looking back at my travels and life experiences, like a summer youth hosteling in Europe and some epic outdoor trips, I wish I had taken fewer pictures but kept at least a minimal log or journal. I did do that some, scribbling notes inside the covers of guidebooks. When I come across them they’re more meaningful than a pile of pictures where I can no longer ID the people or many of the places.
Sadly, friends who are otherwise intelligent, educated, cultured, were saying last night “…well it could’ve have happened. This was a different time and girls were not likely to report rape and other abuses.” None of these accusations can be proven nor disproven. All that matters is the accusation, thrown into the air like a handful of seeds and carried by the media wind until it germinates. Witness Judge Kavanaugh going from having “groped” Ford to being a full-blown rapist on mere unprovable accusations. People are actually buying into this garbage and the press is only too happy, nay…delirious, to fan the flames and destroy his nomination, reputation and life. It is just sickening to what lows the Left is willing to sink to achieve their ambitions.
When you said:
Seems that Kavanaugh nor Judge for that matter even touched Swetnick.
I think you wanted “neither” as the third word.
I’d like to see a survey of women, asking:
“How many gang rapes do you have to witness before you stop going to those parties?”
Is the answer really “at least nine”?
Going back to that Ford, read either comment about her father’s business. http://www.whatdoesitmean.com/index2659.htm
