Bob Costas, instead of being the Sportscaster of Sunday Night Football he was hired to be, decided to pontificate on the evils of the 2nd Amendment during halftime which frankly, left a lot of people watching stunned. Costas quoted a liberal Kansas City sportswriter named Jason Whitlock, who shamefully, used the horrific Jovan Belcher murder/suicide yesterday, as fodder in making his point against the availability and use of guns in our country.
Bob Costas went full gun control as you can see in the video below. For that matter, so did Jason Whitlock whom Costas quoted from this article. But here’s a wee bit of reality for these morons: two people are dead because one of them chose to pick up and use a gun during an argument. A little baby girl, their daughter, is now left behind without either parent to care for her. A selfish choice was made by Jovan Belcher to use the gun to take Kasandra Perkins’ life and then his own. The gun didn’t make the choice. Two people are now dead and families are grieving because of that selfish choice. Bob Costas and his left wing rant was completely out of line and pathetically out of place. Blaming violent acts on the inanimate object, in this case a gun, allows individuals to escape responsibility for their own actions.
Why don’t you know that Bob?
So stop lecturing us. Quit exploiting the dead for your own pathetic political agenda. You’re such a douchenozzle.
What a clown. Whitlock too. Yeah everyone knows you can’t murder people without guns. Unless you’re they guy who killed his dad with a bow & arrow in Wyoming the other day. Get rid of bows & arrows. Hold on, some guy just stabbed his g/f in Cali. While we’re at it let’s get rid of rope and piano wire. Didn’t some lady run over her husband a few times in a parking lot. No cars except those little smart cars cause you could probably push that off of yourself. And no pillows in hospitals or nursing homes.

So if there was news of a girl defending herself with a gun from her crazy NFL BF would he then say the exact opposite? This guy was a modern day giant. He didn’t need a gun to kill…i only wish she had something to lvl the playing field. Maybe she could have saved her own life.
All i can say in response is that seems to be another uneducated A–hole heard from the fact is if jovan wanted to kill his girlfriend and himself he would have used his high price car, a golf club , a ball bat or a butcher knife he just chose a gun because it was handy . what it comes down is if you want commit suicide cut out the middle man and don,t take another human being with you just fricking kill yourself.Leave the rest of us out of it and the news and bob costas publishing and talking about this on national tv just gives the other idiots out there more ideas … If he was,nt man enough to face his problems head on then stop talking about him on tv…..
