Yesterday’s confirmation hearing for Betsy DeVos, Trump’s Secretary of Education nominee was grueling and contentious at times.

While some members weren’t thrilled with Chairman Lamar Alexander keeping strict limits on their time, overall the hearing went smoothly.

So, why would Elizabeth Warren, admittedly NOT a fan of Trump or any of his cabinet choices, refuse to shake DeVos hand after the hearing concluded?

It’s quite evident that Warren didn’t like any of DeVos’s answers during the hearing, let alone the answers provided when she was questioning DeVos herself.

It’s obvious that Warren’s vote will be a resounding NO.

So again, why wouldn’t she shake DeVos hand? Senator Franken shook her hand and even chatted with her for a few minutes. And he is a likely NO vote for DeVos as well. Other Senators in opposition had the good manners to shake her hand, but not Senator Elizabeth Warren.

I’d say that’s a pretty fair assessment. But what would’ve happened if the headdress…err moccasin was on the other foot?

Yeah, that’s what I thought. The fact is, there is no reasonable explanation for Warren decision to wave off Betsy DeVos rather than take 3 steps forward to shake her hand. Then again, something like this is the norm for someone who lied about her ethnicity while a member of the Harvard Law faculty.

Memo to Senator Warren: if you plan to run for President in 2020, stay classy and just keep digging.
