Project Valour-IT: Marine Team Day 2, Out of the Mouth of Babes

“Some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a difference to the world, but the Marines don’t have that problem…” President Ronald Reagan

cassandra reports that yesterday was a good day for project Valour-IT and Marine team.

we took an early and commanding lead only to suffer a setback in the afternoon when those army blogs got a huge donation that catapulted them into the lead. but the marines never, ever give up. we counterattacked aggressively and by 8 pm held a very narrow lead over army. last last night the shock troops arrived in the form of a very generous donation for $1300! as of 5 am this morning, here are the totals for each team:

Army $4120
Navy $1875
Air Force $1955
Marines $5465

we know today will be active again. the marine team is the smallest but we’re scrappy. i’m asking for your help in supporting Project Valour-IT Team Marines. you can go here to donate.

still not moved to clean out the change in the sofa?

here is from a conversation between andy mccarthy and his 7 year old son edward. out of the mouth of babes

son edward: What’s the commander in chief do?

dad andy: Basically, he’s in charge of how we fight the war.

son edward: Hmm. I think the marines should be the commander in chief.

dad andy: [Laughing, of course] I bet the marines would like that.

son edward: I mean, if we didn’t have the marines, what could Obama do?

and lest you forget, we are the land of the free because of the brave. it is our duty and even a pleasure to support the men and women who support our dear country and allow us to sleep safely each night.
