On Saturday, a solemn Memorial Day was commemorated by Democrats through this tweet featuring President Obama. But they didn’t stop there.
Happy Memorial Day weekend, everyone! pic.twitter.com/TMBSu187Pb

They remembered America’s brave and storied past by adding this tweet.
Are you barbecuing this weekend? President Johnson loaded his plate at his Texas ranch in 1967. pic.twitter.com/fecRBibzsL

Here is a real tribute to fallen heroes by President Ronald Reagan from 1985 at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
President Reagan understood the dangers of his world. He loved America’s heroes and appreciated the sacrifices of those who gave their all to keep America free. I miss him more and more.
Kim is a pint-sized patriot who packs some big contradictions. She is a Baby Boomer who never became a hippie, an active Republican who first registered as a Democrat (okay, it was to help a sorority sister's father in his run for sheriff), and a devout Lutheran who practices yoga. Growing up in small-town Indiana, now living in the Kansas City metro, Kim is a conservative Midwestern gal whose heart is also in the Seattle area, where her eldest daughter, son-in-law, and grandson live. Kim is a working speech pathologist who left school system employment behind to subcontract to an agency, and has never looked back. She describes her conservatism as falling in the mold of Russell Kirk's Ten Conservative Principles. Don't know what they are? Google them!
[…] The following tweets from the official Democratic Party Twitter account need no explanation, as far as I’m concerned (hat tip: Victory Girls). […]
We veterans cringe when we heae someone say “Happy Memorial Day.”
Doesn’t matter their political stripes.

We veterans cringe when we [hear] someone say “Happy Memorial Day.”
Yeah. I’ve taken to saying “Blessed Memorial Day”. Though it still isn’t quite right.
