Barack “Neville” Obama (D; Imma-Be-Nice) has called for a national security strategy involving “strategic patience” — whatever that is, although it sounds vaguely like a 1938 redux. “The challenges we face require strategic patience and persistence,” says the document outlining the strategy.
The plan was detailed by National Security Adviser Susan Rice (she of the ‘video caused the Benghazi attack’ theory) at a speech at the Brookings Institution, saying:
“While the dangers we face may be more numerous and varied, they are not of the existential nature we confronted during World War II or during the Cold War.”
Boloney, Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina indicated in a statement:
“I doubt ISIL, the Iranian mullahs, or Vladmir Putin will be intimidated by President Obama’s strategy of ‘strategic patience.’ From their point of view, the more ‘patience’ President Obama practices the stronger they become. . . .The Obama Doctrine, or ‘strategic patience,’ has led to a world in chaos. … Applying more ‘patience’ to President Obama’s failed foreign policy just prolongs failure.”
King Abdullah II of Jordan is having none of our feckless Dear Leader’s “strategic patience.” He intends to annihilate ISIS, and has already started kicking some ISIS, as seen in this video:

He also knows how to be an inspiring leader to his troops.
And he likes to lead from the front.
And now the United Arab Emirates, once out of the military coalition to oppose ISIS, have announced they will send a squadron of F-16 fighters to Jordan and resume their part of the fight. Amazing what leadership will do, isn’t it?
An editorial in Investors’ Business Daily notes:
“In less than a week, Jordan has transformed itself from a bit player in the war on terror to a moral beacon of why we fight — because it’s ultimately a struggle of good versus evil, and good must win.”
Oh, yes, it’s true that Obama is requesting more war powers to deal with ISIS. Sort of. He still doesn’t plan to deploy combat troops, even though Republicans want that option, and many in the military community are advising that ground troops will be necessary to obliterate ISIS. General Lloyd Austin, head of Central Command, and General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, have both said a number of troops may be needed.
Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency Lt. General Vincent Stewart spoke before the House Armed Services Committee, telling them that the limited air strikes that the US has been launching is not getting the job done.
But Obama did hold a very important meeting with some Muslim leaders this past Wednesday, and those included a real rogue’s gallery of some shady players. Investors’ Business Daily lists some of those characters:
And what was discussed? Violent jihad? The threat of ISIS?
If you guessed those, you guessed wrong.
Nope, they discussed “anti-Muslim bigotry.” They also want some goodies, like federal jobs for their allies, and legal authority for US Muslims to police American Muslims who want to become jihadis. Fox, meet henhouse.
In short, it was another day at the office for Obama — pandering for votes from likely Democratic voters.
So while King Abdullah of Jordan is fighting to save his nation — and by extension the rest of the Mideast — from takeover by the psychopaths of ISIS, Barack Obama the Lesser hesitates to whoop some jihadi-ass and instead panders to their soul mates in America. But then, any serious aggression would destroy his beloved narrative of being the one who ‘ended the war in Iraq.’ The narrative and the legacy are much more important to him than the security of the nation.
It’s nice to see a leader with balls – that LEADS from the front!!!
Merle
Strategic Patience=let the enemy do what it wants while abdicating leadership. This sort of nonsense would have led to an Axis victory in WW2 and a Soviet win in the Cold War.
