The votes are in:
“114 Democrats and 159 Republicans voted to approve the proposal; opposition was just as bipartisan: 85 Democrats and 71 Republicans voted no. The Syria language was considered as an amendment to a stopgap funding bill to avert a government shutdown on Oct. 1.
The House later Wednesday is expected to pass the $1 trillion continuing resolution or CR, and will then send the full package over to the Senate, which is expected to approve it on Thursday.”
First question: How does one determine who’s “moderate” in a land of extremists?
Second question: Who’s going to wind up with American weapons?
Third question: Did the House just vote to arm Isis/Isil?
“The House later Wednesday is expected to pass the $1 trillion continuing resolution or CR, and will then send the full package over to the Senate, which is expected to approve it on Thursday.
Earlier in the day, Obama pledged that he would not send in ground troops to fight ISIS, saying it’s more effective to support military allies “so they can secure their own countries future.”
Fourth question: What about OUR future?
Fifth question: What happens to Israel?
Anybody have any answers, please comment below.
“Moderate” is one who will not saw your head off. Although, they might sell you to someone who will.
One of the biggest negatives of the administration’s strategy of bombing, no boots on the ground and leading from behind is that it is likely to (at best) produce the same results as Libya — a failed state that becomes a terrorist training ground that is funded by large oil revenues. The ISIS fighters will disperse — to Jordan, Lebanon, and elsewhere (there have already been 8 beheadings in the Sinai with ISIS-notes left with the corpses), spreading their influence as these fighters organize. And, those with US and European passports will go here and to Europe to recruit and stage attacks (as has already happened).
Bingo
Savages will be savages. We’d probably be better off having as little to do with the ummah as possible and let them exterminate one another. Problem is we have too many do gooders in the West who think they can change these losers. They can’t-14 centuries and these believers in the Koran continue to be what they always have been- totalitarian supremacists bent on capturing the world by any means necessary. Let them kill one another to prove to their god who’s the most pious-this will leave them with less time to prey upon us “infidels”.
