The Associated Press gazes upon the Winter Olympics in Italy and declares that there are just too many White people on the teams.
The Associated Press is naming and shaming majority-white European nations competing in the Winter Olympics for their apparent lack of diversity, insisting the recent influx of migrants into the countries should be instantly represented among their most elite athletes.
The Olympics, indeed sports in general, is the ultimate example of that dreaded, white-adjacent principle known as meritocracy. Can you run the fastest? Jump the highest? Here’s your medal regardless of which Pantone color swatch you match.
AP is having none of that while they indulge their anti-White racism.
Immigration from Africa and the Middle East has transformed the demographics of Europe in recent decades.
The word “immigration” is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that sentence. As if nothing else was changing or the influx of immigrants invaders was worth questioning.
At the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, Sweden is sending a team made up almost exclusively of ethnically Swedish athletes, with NHL player Mika Zibanejad, whose father is from Iran, a rare exception. That hardly reflects the diversity of the Nordic country: About 2 million of its 10 million residents were born abroad, about half of them in Asia or Africa, according to national statistics agency SCB.
The Olympic rosters of France, Germany, Switzerland and other European winter sports nations look a lot like Sweden’s: overwhelmingly white and lacking the immigrant representation seen in their soccer or basketball teams.
It can’t be a revelation that the activity of bouncing a ball, either with hand or foot, is something that can be done anywhere in the world regardless of climate. Indeed, basketball (invented by one of those villainous people of pallor) originated as an indoor sport so weather could be ignored. But sports involving great quantities of that other white stuff known as snow is pretty limited to places that, by golly, have snow! Norway, Sweden, Finland — five to six months of snow v Chad or the Maldives. Skiing originated in areas of Scandinavia and western Russia. OH NOES! More palefaces! Cue the outrage!
Academics believe more needs to be done by winter sports to improve accessibility for immigrants and underserved communities.
And who knows better about sports than academics!
These are the same people who are quite upset that there are too many White people in [checks notes] hiking, camping, who like landscape painting …
Sense a theme here? It’s not what White people do, it that they exist at all. This anti-White racism is so accepted, celebrated and embedded that we even witness some very shallow US Olympic team members engaging in a public struggle session denouncing that America even dares to secure its own border.
The Olympics are a Western Civilization creation. Get with the meritocracy it is supposed to stand for or stay home. Mark anyone who talks about “inclusivity” and “diversity” for what they are. Unreconstructed racists. Period.

Scott says: Well, suicide bombing, sex with goats, gang r@pe, and other such “events” aren’t in the Olympics (yet), so yeah, muslims are somewhat scarce..
SFC D says: The Winter Olympics is made up of European created sports, normally dominated by European athletes (except where those damned upstart Americans kick ass), and few immigrants to those European countries compete. DEI fails quicker in sports than it does in business or government. Athletics does not care what color you are, it judges you strictly on ability.

Mort Main says: You have to think a little deeper about this whole immigrant situation. What the AP and what the Democrats are saying is that they can bring in immigrants from anywhere be they murderers, rapists, thieves, terrorists or human traffickers, etc., and their is nothing anyone can do about it. The laws do not apply to them. They are not restricted by the law or law enforcement, so say Pritzker, Hochul, Newsome and Walz and the Democrats. If they want to bring in millions of immigrants and register them to vote, that is their privilege. The protesters against ICE say the laws of the US are unenforceable and they will interfere with law enforcement anytime they want. Like the Bolsheviks, the rules don’t apply to them. And diversity alibi is just part of the same argument.
