Since the grown-ups have entered the White House again and the paper doll administration of Joe Biden has finally been swept off the stage, it looks like the current interns have a little extra time on their hands. The adults are busy running the country. The interns are busy curating what might be the most entertaining little accountability corner the website has ever seen. They have created something called the Media Offender of the Week, which is essentially a digital hall of shame for outlets that annoy the president.
The first inductees into this proud new tradition are The Boston Globe, CBS News, and The Independent. The White House says these outlets mangled Trump’s response to that viral video of Democratic members of Congress telling service members they could ignore illegal orders.
According to the site, the media twisted Trump’s response into a call for execution.
“The Democrats and Fake News Media subversively implied that President Trump had issued illegal orders to service members. Every order President Trump has issued has been lawful,” it reads. “It is dangerous for sitting Members of Congress to incite insubordination in the United States’ military, and President Trump called for them to be held accountable.”
They added later under “key points” that “President Trump has never issued an illegal order. The Fake News knew that, but ran with the story anyway.”

The page does not stop with the corporate logos. It goes right down the line and names the journalists themselves, which makes this thing read less like an institution briefing and more like a school list of who got caught passing notes.

There is something refreshing about seeing the White House collect media distortions in one place. No outrage. No theatrics. Just receipts. For once, the press gets a taste of the scrutiny they treat as their birthright to impose on everyone else. It is a small step toward balance, and honestly, it is overdue.
Still, you have to admire the confidence. The new page reads like a county sheriff’s weekly roundup of who got hauled in for acting a fool. Offenses fall under Bias, Lie, Malpractice, and Left Wing Lunacy. The Offender Hall of Shame shows CNN, MS NOW, The Washington Post, and CBS News twice, the journalistic equivalent of frequent flyers at the county jail.
The site has a banner that reads Misleading, Biased, Exposed, but the real flavor is pure political TMZ. It has that snappy tabloid energy where everything feels a little exaggerated on purpose. The White House says it is about truth and accountability. The design says someone enjoyed themselves.
None of this would matter if the legacy media could take the hit and move on. They never do. And right on cue, here comes Jim Acosta with a fresh plan to save journalism from Trump.

This is adorable. It is also unintentionally hilarious. The public does not crave a dramatic media walkout. The public would treat it like a free holiday. People would celebrate the peace and quiet.
Sure, Jim, take your left-wing lying media and walk out. Please. Don’t let the door hit ya in your arse. The White House will barely notice. Independent outlets will slide right in and keep the briefing room moving. Jim calls it a bold stand. Everyone else sees a man begging for relevance.
This would be the dumbest, most spectacularly hilarious self-destroying thing the legacy media has ever done.

Jim misses the spotlight. The public does not miss him. Demotion gave him time to sit quietly and think. The thoughts that emerged were not helpful.
Maybe this whole thing is one large cosmic joke. Trump gets a new toy for the website. The staff gets something fun to maintain. The media gets another reason to perform outrage. Acosta gets attention for a day. Everyone leaves with something, and the country gets a bit of entertainment.
If this is the new routine, the press corps may want to invest in thicker skin. Accountability is coming at them faster than their corrections page.

Message from WH to Jim Acosta and his journo followers:
“Yes. Please leave.”
Every one of your empty seats will be filled in less than 12 hours by reporters interested in reporting facts. And, since you voluntarily walked out, you’ll have no basis to complain that “your spot”was given to someone else. (The only reason for the 12 hour time period to fill the slots is the time it takes for the person offered the slot is the time needed for them to answer their phones.)
