Saudi Arabia Pulls Out All The Stops For President Trump

Two and a half years ago, the Democrats believed that Joe Biden was humiliated by Saudi Arabia. Joe and the Left called the Saudis “pariahs” over the murder of Adnan Khashoggi. It was a big, old mess created by the Democrats arrogant myopia and inability to see the consequences that flow from actions. That made it all the sweeter when the kingdom pulled out every stop to greet President Trump and his visiting party. From six F-15s escorting Air Force One through Saudi air space to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman meeting Trump at the airport to American flag lined streets, the pomp was all there.

I can almost hear the Top Gun theme in this video:

That is just so cool. Looks like we are garnering the respect we have earned from out 80 year relationship with Saudi Arabia. Biden didn’t screw it up too much. Franklin Roosevelt met with Abdul Aziz ibn Saud in 1945. From History.com:

A secret war-time meeting. Fear of an oil shortage. An exchange of gifts (including a wheelchair) and a budding friendship. When Franklin D. Roosevelt met with Abdul Aziz ibn Saud on February 14, 1945 aboard a U.S. Navy destroyer in the Suez Canal, it was the first time a U.S. president had ever met with a Saudi Arabian king, and the encounter laid a foundation for U.S.-Saudi relations that would continue for generations—and ensure U.S. access to Saudi oil reserves.

It turns out, the two leaders hit it off so well that Roosevelt, who would die just eight weeks after the meeting, gifted the king with one of his wheelchairs (as well as a DC-3 passenger plane). The king, in turn, gave the president gifts, including a diamond-encrusted dagger, perfumes, pearl jewelry, belts of woven gold thread and embroidered harem costumes, Montgomery says.

Did you copy that? FDR, the Patron Saint of Government Handouts, gave a DC-3 to the Saudi King. Who knew? My shocked face just fainted.

Trump and his team won’t be in Saudi Arabia long, but they are making every minute count. Just look at the Administration Officials and business leaders Trump brought with him:

Among the top Trump administration officials who joined the trip were Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and Secretary of Energy Chris Wright.

Elon Musk—the billionaire founder of Tesla and SpaceX, who has been advising the White House on federal spending cuts—was also there.

Blackstone Group CEO Stephen Schwarzman, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang were also among the many guests from the business world who attended the forum.

Other attendees included FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Palantir Technologies co-founder and CEO Alex Karp, Halliburton CEO and chair Jeff Miller, Alphabet and Google president and chief investment officer Ruth Porat, and Amazon president and CEO Andy Jassy.

Every single person on this trip is a BSD (Big Swinging D*ck) with juice and all the cards. No wonder Saudi Arabia pulled out all of the stops. The two countries signed a $142 billion defense cooperation agreement.

People who make things happen love to be near other people who make things happen, which is why MBS loves to be around Trump and vice versa. Trump was fulsome in his praise:

Here is where you get full body chills:

All standing; all clapping.

But wait, there’s more: Trump made his exit to YMCA. Naturally!

If you are a Trumpette, as I am, here is a fun mobile McDonald’s meme:

I think MBS is having as good a time as Trump is.

I do not fully trust Saudi Arabia and Trump is easily flattered. The less said about Qatar the better.
