The Laken Riley Act passed the House yesterday. Yet there were 159 Democrats who voted against it. The excuses they used were pathetic and infuriating.
Laken Riley, a beautiful young lady with a bright future ahead of her was killed by an illegal alien.
Laken Riley, 22, left home at 9:03 a.m. on February 22 with her iPhone for a February morning jog. She brought her smartwatch and noise-canceling AirPods along for the run.
Just 25 minutes later, she was dead.
Her house’s Ring camera footage captured Riley, wearing a ponytail and dressed in a black jacket, black leggings and white sneakers as she left.
She fought for her life for nearly TWENTY MINUTES. Her fight for life gave investigators the necessary clues with which to find and locate Jose Ibarra here illegally from Venezuela.
Ibarra was here illegally and should’ve been deported when he was first caught in 2022. But Joe Biden’s border policies and the sanctuary state crap meant he was free to roam around the country. He did and was arrested twice for other crimes, but in neither instance was he handed over to ICE for deportation.
Lake Riley is, sadly, just one of many who’ve ended up assaulted or murdered by people here illegally. Yet the Biden Administration along with too many state and local governments have just shrugged their shoulders, pretended the crime issues don’t exist (Aurora CO Tren de Aragua anyone?), and impatiently checked their watches.
House Republicans decided enough was enough, and crafted a bill that essentially states that anyone here illegally who commits a minor crime – as Jose Ibarra did at least twice prior to attacking and murdering Laken Riley – will face arrest, prosecution, and even deportation.
This is an anti-immigrant bill claims Arizona’s progressive Democrat Yassamin Ansari.
The only “no” vote from Arizona, Ansari wrote that the bill would serve as “a license to discriminate against our immigrant communities, including DREAMers.”
“The murder of Laken Riley was a horrific tragedy. But the anti-immigrant bill being pushed by House Republicans will do nothing to prevent this kind of violence or reform our broken immigration system,” she said in a written statement released after the vote.
No, it would rightfully discriminate against criminals. Criminals who are not only here illegally, but commit MORE crimes!
Others opine that arresting one here illegally for theft, carjacking, or assault is wrongful arrest!
“Unfortunately, there are countless real-life examples of people getting wrongfully arrested for crimes they didn’t commit,” Representative Pramila Jayapal, Democrat of Washington, said on the floor. “People deserve to have their day in court and are innocent until proven guilty. That seems to be something that the majority has forgotten or doesn’t seem to care about.”
Awww! You are here illegally but broke into someone’s home and stole their belongings? And you stole a car? Oh, and you were brilliant in stealing all those high-end purses from that boutique. Way to go you! We can’t do anything because A. you’re here illegally and we Democrats have decided that’s protected status, and B. you need every chance we can give you, so go forth and sin no more.
Coddling the criminals for fear that they might be viewed as racist. WOW. Where have I heard that before?

Yet far too many Democrats in Congress and elsewhere are super worried that enacting consequences on illegals here ILLEGALLY who then commit other crimes such as theft, rape, and murder means we are all racist.
Nope, we are ANTI-CRIMINAL. Period. Full Stop.
Yet here are the Democrats, channeling their British counterparts in making all the pathetic excuses for criminals. Anyone advocating for consequences for criminal acts is Far Right.

And believe me, the rape gangs issue in Britain is beyond horrific. Starting years ago, in the early 2000’s, young girls were targeted by Pakistani and Muslim illegals. They were groomed, raped repeatedly, were trafficked, had their lives threatened if they said anything, and some were killed for daring to speak out. How young were these girls? Some were as young as FIVE. Most were around the age of ten when the horror started for them. And Kier Starmer, among others, swept most of it under the rug for fear they’d be labeled as racist instead of holding the criminals accountable.
The language the Democrats are using is eerily similar to what the British elites are using right now to excuse the fact that they didn’t step up for those children.
However, there is ONE Democrat who gets it. Senator John Fetterman who is now sponsoring the Laken Riley Act in the Senate.

The question is, do we support keeping Americans safe or do we support criminals here illegally for fear of being labeled as racists?
The Democrat excuses for not voting to keep American citizens safe are beyond pathetic. It’s an insult to the memories of not only Laken Riley, but Jocelyn Nungaray and Rachel Morin along with too many others.
Our border security has been non-existent for four years under Biden/Harris. Democrats are well aware of that and they STILL put politics above American lives. PATHETIC

On a related note, why do so many people get wrapped around the axel over “Constitutional protections” for these invaders? They are NOT American Citizens, and therefore are NOT due any protections under the Constitution.. FULL STOP.. Deportation by trebuchet for ANYONE who commits a second crime (the first is coming here)while here illegally!

This is the standard motte-and-bailey fallacy the Progressives love to use. We’re arguing against some particular thing, and they come in and abuse language to make it seem like we’re against ALL of these people or principles or whatever. We’re concerned with (in this particular law) illegal “immigrants” who have committed felonies while illegally here, but this progressive globalist wants people to believe we’re just going to pitch out all immigrants. When you purposely use the motte-and-bailey fallacy, you’re lying.
The fact is that all illegal immigrants are criminals by virtue of having come here without legal authorization. And some portion of “legal” immigrants are here because national law enforcement abused the law (TSP and “asylum” claims). And, if they are here under dubious circumstances, they certainly aren’t going to be careful with their adherence to our laws, or our mores. Especially when we don’t enforce our laws.
BTW, Nina, looks like auto-correct got you at the beginning of the 5th paragraph, making her name “Lake Riley.” (At least it didn’t auto-correct it to “Lincoln.”)
SFC D says: I didn’t see anything anywhere stating that anyone arrested under this law will be denied due process under the law. But, I suppose you have to be a liberal democrat to see that. It requires an extreme amount of narrow-mindedness.

They had no problem stripping away the constitutional protections to men of any age accused of rape or sexual molestation at any time in the past, no matter *how long ago*, by women who could be acting for vindictive reasons. Same for their hypocritical concerns about due process. Dingell is full of Biden.
