Trump’s making his list and he’s checking it twice and moving forward with his Cabinet picks for the his second time around at the Presidency.
While it feels pretty damn good to say the above, it’s also a big plus that Trump is choosing Texas Congressman, John Ratcliffe to head up the CIA. One might remember Ratcliffe taking one Peter Strzok to the woodshed during Russiagate:
It was, indeed, a thing of beauty. But, of course, CNN is going to CNN:
Ratcliffe, served as the director of national intelligence from 2020 to 2021 during Trump’s first term – and his appointment served as a key argument for critics who believed that Trump was using the intelligence community to serve his political needs.”-CNN Politics
Is Dan Coats being removed for taking steps to protect our elections from foreign attacks?? Something #DonaldTrump welcomes.

Fake foreign attacks, Jules? Of course. Because Ratcliffe was just partaking in “partisan stunting”. The Democrats would never, I mean, NEVER do anything of the sort.
In the words of the guy who is getting ready to move out:
C’mon, man.
Some of the bigger news that came down the pipeline last night were Trump’s picks for the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Enter Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.
Here are some of the most insane statistics about the waste and inefficiency of the US government and why Elon and Vivek's new DOGE is such an incredible and crucial development for America:
• The CBO revealed at least 1,264 federal programs and bureaus have expired… pic.twitter.com/uzhJy91Mjb

Soap dispensers on airplanes. $45 million for a “diversity and inclusion” scholarship in Burma. $3 million for “girl-centered climate action” in Brazil. $125 million to racialize public health. $573,000 to anti-Israel group for fighting “disinformation.” These are just a few of the causes funded by the Biden Administration in 2022.
Let’s not forget the wasteful ways public schools to the tune of $190 billion to states for K-12 education during the pandemic, $122 billion of which was part of Biden’s American Rescue Plan (ARP) in March 2021.
Putting aside blatant examples of wasteful spending of pandemic funding — football stadium renovations, electrifying bus fleets and adding central office staff, to name a few — available data suggest that much of the federal money was spent on things that have little connection to student learning. Researchers at Georgetown University’s Edunomics Lab estimate that 20 percent of ARP K-12 dollars have gone to facilities — HVAC upgrades and building repairs, for example — with many districts also using the cash on teacher bonuses and backfilling budgets rather than investing in services that could address learning loss.”-The Hill
After all, you can’t have teachers (who were working from home for almost two years) come back to an old, decrepit building post-COVID, can you? They and their union may threaten, once again, to NOT TEACH “out of necessity” and “for the children”.
And, let’s not forget about those electric school buses!
One word: DOGE.
The creation of DOGE will be the first federal program whose goal is to eliminate itself. It exists to shrink government, not grow it.
This is a profound, historic step back to the Founders' vision for America.

Some of the Tweets are fabulous, to say the very least:

As I said on the campaign trail, America has been through a lot over the last few years—from a historic pandemic and price hikes resulting from the pandemic, to rapid change and the feeling a lot of folks have that, no matter how hard they work, treading water is the best they can do.”-Barack Obama
Indeed, we have, thanks to the Democrats. I would say “treading water” is more than some Americans are doing currently, but Barack and Michelle Obama don’t have a clue at how bad things have become nor would they care. Barry has indeed been very quiet since his statement…
The good news is that these problems are solvable—but only if we listen to each other, and only if we abide by the core constitutional principles and democratic norms that made this country great…..”-Barack Obama
make this country great…Again, Barack. Say it with me.
This will send shockwaves through the system, and anyone involved in Government waste, which is a lot of people!”-Elon Musk
Barack? Say “hello” to DOGE. No, DOGE is not the animal you ate that most would consider a beloved family member.
The fun continues. It’s hard to believe just a week ago some of us were waiting on pins and needles to see how our nation would vote and what days lie ahead. Liberal pundits and news outlets will say what they will about DOGE. Mark my words. This will be a “totalitarian” move to take rights away from everyone by eliminating (useless) government programs.
Kamala may as well hide out in her office playing Solitaire and sipping Chardonnay while she still can. It may be a few days before Elon saunters in with a sink. Let the draining of the swamp commence! Pass me the popcorn, please.

Another Cabinet?!? And what does it mean for there to be two leaders?
Department of Government Efficiency….. Government and efficiency is an oxymoron if there ever was one.
Designed to eliminate itself. When has a government program / department / board ever get eliminated?
When has a dude that’s made 50 BILLION in the week since the election been put in charge of such a department?? The same dude that cut more than half the staff at twitter and vastly improved the platform…
