This has been a most unusual election cycle. Donald Trump has collected quite a number of characters under the “big tent” who have endorsed him – Tulsi Gabbard, Megyn Kelly, Elon Musk and Joe Rogan, just to name a few. But the person who started the “unity movement” by endorsing Trump back in August was RFK Jr.
Yes, it really was ONLY a little over two months ago that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stepped forward to suspend his own independent run for president and officially endorsed Donald Trump. Now, at the time, RFK declared that he was going to remove his name off the ballot in the swing states, but that he would remain on the ballot in other states where a vote for him would make little to no impact on the race. At the time, he declared that staying on the ballot in non-competitive states would allow people a choice to make their voices heard against the Democrat establishment. Well, that same Democrat establishment had no intention of honoring his request. Today, RFK will appear on the ballots in Michigan and Wisconsin – both swing states – after losing his appeals to be removed.
Who fought taking his name off the ballot? The Democrat party in those states. Michigan’s case was especially obvious and egregious, because the Michigan Secretary of State argued that she HAD to keep RFK on the ballot – while fighting to get the much more left-wing Cornel West OFF the ballot. The state Supreme Court ended up ruling that both RFK and West would stay on the ballot, and the U.S. Supreme Court declined to take the appeal from RFK and his camp.
Will his name on the ballot make a difference in Michigan and Wisconsin? Apparently, RFK is determined to make sure that it doesn’t, and is openly urging everyone – even in states that are non-competitive ones – to NOT vote for him, and to vote for Donald Trump.

“Hey everybody, a lot of people are asking me if they live in a red state or blue state should they still be voting for me? What about swing states? The answer is easy – no,” RFK Jr. then said in a video posted to his X account on Monday.
“No matter what state you live in, you should be voting for Donald Trump. And let me tell you why. That’s the only way that we can get me and everything I stand for into Washington, D.C. and fulfill the mission that motivated my campaign,” he continued.
Above the video, RFK Jr. wrote “No matter what state you live in, do NOT vote for me” and “Let’s get President Trump back in the White House and me to Washington so we can Make America Healthy Again, end the forever wars, and protect our civil liberties.”
RFK asked his supporters to look at “the big picture” when voting for Trump.
“A disputed election result would be a disaster for our divided nation,” Kennedy said in the video. “President Trump needs to win in a landslide, both in the Electoral College and in the popular vote. He can’t do that unless my supporters join him. So, look at the big picture. We have to unify.”
And just in case anyone has forgotten what we are unifying for, this is it.

You can disagree with RFK Jr. about a lot of things (and I do), but he is totally correct that Donald Trump needs a BIG win in order to unify the country, and to prevent any election shenanigans. Wherever you are, whichever state you live in, NOW is the time. If you haven’t voted already, get it done!
