Robert F. Kennedy Jr. – The Democrats and Vaccinations

Not that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFKjr) ever had a chance of being the 2024 Democrat Presidential nominee, he’s a rich White man and scion of a rich White family, you know, but his vaccine stance has killed the chance he didn’t have in the first place. Getting jabbed with the Covid-19 MRNA shot is an act of submission in the Democrat religion. You MUST take a vaccine or booster, as mandated by the government, with a heart full of humility and gratitude. You must shout it louder than your abortion. His vaccine stance is among the many reason why Kennedy cannot be considered for even a position in any administration. You may not ever question the Democrat science.

I generally have no interest in people who tilt at windmills. And, RFKjr seems to have a bit of the ambulance chaser about his persona, another personal turn off. I have written twice about his presidential tilt here and here, but couldn’t suss out why he would even want to run. Until that is last night… NBC News published an article about Kennedy by Brandy Zadrozny and it partially explained this particular tilt.

The article has a lot of rubbish in it. For instance:

I am one of many reporters dispatched to profile Kennedy, who is so busy, and has so many journalists attached to the campaign, according to his press person, that accompanying him to official events won’t be possible. So, on a Monday morning in late May, we are on this hike instead, a winding trek up and back down a steep hill, as Kennedy lays out his vision of the country he aims to lead.
He sees America as a divided place, where an elite few conspire to crush the rest, where doctors poison the public, and where few institutions or experts can be trusted. “People should be scared,” he tells me.
It’s a dark notion, one Kennedy believes that he, as president, can save the country from.

Oh, Lawd a mercy. And, people think that Donald Trump has a mammoth ego. He does. He is not even close in the God Complex to Kennedy. Elites crushing, doctors poisoning, and evil institutions. A dark notion, but RFKjr can save us. Help me, RFKjr, you’re my only hope.

But, there was a nugget that explained this particular windmill tilt.

“There are rules that make it difficult for the public airwaves to censor you,” Kennedy says, misciting a federal law that requires broadcast stations provide candidates for public office with equal opportunity to airtime. “So I thought maybe I should run.”
But he swears it’s not just about the attention. “My wife would never let me run just to make a point,” he says, meaning the actor Cheryl Hines.
Kennedy says he was inspired by Jeremy Zogby, from the right-leaning Zogby polls, who shared “astonishing” numbers that made him think he had a real chance. He declined to share the numbers, but he says the poll pushed him to throw his hat into a primary that most people are calling a long shot. (Asked for confirmation, Zogby said, “At this stage we are not discussing publicly Mr. Kennedy’s internal polling.”) A CNN poll in May has Kennedy with 20% Democratic support, compared to 60% for incumbent Joe Biden.

Oh those “astonishing” numbers! From Zogby Analytics, no less. I know that y’all trust polls as little as I do, right. We have no idea who commissioned this poll, or why, or how it was conducted. Two words: Use and Less. But this explains so much. ‘

Kennedy blames his vocal dysphonia on, wait for it, a flu vaccine.

Kennedy, though, suspects a flu vaccine may be to blame. “I haven’t been able to figure out any other cause,” he told a podcaster in 2021.
In a follow-up email, Kennedy said he wasn’t sure of the connection, calling it “my own speculation.” His press person sent links to fact sheets included in manufacturer packaging of more recent flu vaccines that list dysphonia among dozens of reported “adverse reactions.” The adverse reactions in those package inserts — which are legal, not medical documents — are based on unverified observations, and, as they make clear, don’t suggest the vaccine necessarily caused the reaction.
Kennedy’s suspicion would make his anti-vaccine activism personal.
But Kennedy doesn’t want to talk about vaccines — at least not from the campaign trail.

In general, I love vaccines. I have been getting a flu vaccine since they gave them out at the UAW hall and don’t miss my annual one now. I had the flu once when I was little and I don’t want to go through that again. Vaccines, in general, save lives. Lots and lots of lives. What we patriots object to for the most part are mandated vaccines for things that are unlikely to harm us. Like say Covid 19, unless you are hella old, obese and have other co-morbidities. I got the first two shots and refused to get any boosters, once the numbers on Covid 19 started coming out. Some of the doctors in my neighborhood are on the fifth booster. Instead the government and media (I know, same thing.) shut down any divergent opinions, as RFKjr correctly points out:

Now, Kennedy and Joe Rogan are taking on Peter Hotez (never trusted him) over vaccine disinformation:

COVID vaccine proponent Dr. Peter Hotez on Sunday appeared on MSNBC and explained to host Mehdi Hasan why he is declining to debate Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy and podcast host Joe Rogan.

Rogan offered Hotez $100,000 to the charity of his choice if he is willing to debate RFK Jr. on his show with no time limit. Investors and other celebrities have jumped in and the offer to debate is now well over 1 million dollars.

“[Robert F. Kennedy Jr.] is at it again,” Hotez told Hasan. “But this time it has caused something really terrible and that is during the COVID pandemic — I have a new book coming out that basically says 200,000 Americans needlessly perished because they believed the anti-vaccine disinformation and refused to take a COVID vaccine during our Delta wave and the Omicron wave in ’21-’22 after vaccines were widely available. So the point is that anti-vaccine disinformation has always done a lot of damage and harm but now it is a lethal force within the United States.”

“That’s why we have to have that discussion,” Hotez said. “And I offered to go on Joe Rogan again — I’ve been on a couple of times — and have that discussion with him, but not to turn it into the Jerry Springer show with having RFK Jr. on.”

What a load of manure from all of them. If a Republican wins the Presidency in 2024, I am not holding my breath, we need the government to admit they were wrong about Ivermectin, ventilators, masks and the MRNA vaccines. That might go a long way to restoring trust in the medical community.

I don’t think Robert F. Kennedy has a part in that equation. Now, if I can just figure out who paid for that Zogby poll.

Simple. He knows that he’s wrong, he can’t back up anything with facts and he knows that Kennedy will beat him like a pinata. That and the sweet grant money he gets will help him afford new bowties.
