Oh Sweetie! Boys Make Better Girls

InstapunditIn today’s world, girls are told to embrace their power. Lean-in, because what used to be “bossy” is now “assertive.” Today’s young women are guzzling the “you are enough!” Kool-Aid. But when it comes to girl’s athletics, sit down sweetie. Boys make better girls. Three Connecticut athletes are suing to reclaim their sport from the Trans-girls who dominate it.

Meet the Girls, Who are Doing What the Adults Should

Why It’s Not Ever Going to Be Fair, Testosterone

Life was less complicated when XY and a penis meant boy, and XX with a vagina meant girl. Then society had to go and give credibility to gender identity, whereby one’s personal feelings dictate their gender. Oh, fine. You do you, until it impacts others.

And now we are at the point where an athlete’s decision to transition from male to female, is greatly impacting others. Specifically, female athletics are being dominated by Trans-women.

Trans-women are people with the advantage of producing testosterone during puberty. A time when their bodies develop muscle mass, bone density, heart capacity, and lung volume. Natural born women literally cannot compete with a developing male physiology.

The following is included in supporting documents for the Alliance for Defending Freedom lawsuit against Trans athletes competing in girls sports. The supporting documents are part of the “Expert Declaration” of Gregory A. Brown, Ph.D. He surmises,

In general, men and adolescent boys, can run faster, output more physical power, jump higher, and exercise greater physical endurance than women and adolescent girls.”

He continues that this enhanced performance is based upon,

This performance advantage is caused by distinctive, specific, and identifiable aspects of male physiology which develop during puberty under the influence of male levels of testosterone.”

So, How Much Advantage Does Testosterone Give Natural Males? A Lot.

In their study “COMPARING ATHLETIC PERFORMANCES THE BEST ELITE WOMEN TO BOYS AND MEN”, Duke Law professor Dorian Coleman along with Faculty and Scholarly Services Librarian Wickliffe Shrive find that,

Just in the single year 2017, Olympic, World, and U.S. Champion Tori Bowie’s 100 meters lifetime best of 10.78 was beaten 15,000 times by men and boys. (Yes, that’s the right number of zeros.)”

Additionally, this wasn’t an anomaly. They found,

The same is true of Olympic, World, and U.S. Champion Allyson Felix’s 400 meters lifetime best of 49.26. Just in the single year 2017, men and boys around the world outperformed her more than 15,000 times.”

Female Olympic, World, and U.S. Champions lifetime best times were beaten 15,000 times by men and boys. But high school girls are supposed to take a back seat to PC culture, where boys can self identify and compete as girls. Natural born girls are told to be quiet, not speak up, and accept what society deems okay. So much for the platitudes of  “Girl Power”, and “You are enough!”, “Stand up and be counted.” Obviously there are still areas of society where girls are expected to sit down, shut up, and suck it up. And it’s adults telling them to do it.

Taking it to the Court, of Law

Three high school athletes are suing the state of Connecticut for a level playing field. Alliance for Defending Freedom is helping with their lawsuit. ADF Legal Counsel, Christiana Holcomb, said,

Girls deserve to compete on a level playing field. Forcing them to compete against boys isn’t fair, shatters their dreams, and destroys their athletic opportunities,” She continues,  “Having separate boys’ and girls’ sports has always been based on biological differences, not what people believe about their gender, because those differences matter for fair competition. And forcing girls to be spectators in their own sports is completely at odds with Title IX, a federal law designed to create equal opportunities for women in education and athletics. Connecticut’s policy violates that law and reverses nearly 50 years of advances for women.”

Three young girls are risking public censure, being branded bigots, labeled “Transphobic” by their peers, coaches, and the militant wing of the LGBTQ community…. Just so they can have a fair shot at winning. They aren’t asking for special treatment, but the chance to run against their physical peers. These girls are brave in the face of a lifetime of vitriol targeted at their backs.

She has the L in LGBTQ, But She’s Transphobic

Ask tennis champion, Martina Navratilova why she was removed from her advisory position with Athlete Ally, a nonprofit that advocates for LGBTQ inclusion and equality in sports. One of the greatest female athletes, openly gay during a time when it was a career killer, was removed because she wrote an op-ed that in part said,

To put the argument at its most basic: a man can decide to be female, take hormones if required by whatever sporting organization is concerned, win everything in sight and perhaps earn a small fortune, and then reverse his decision and go back to making babies if he so desires,” she continued. “It’s insane and it’s cheating. I am happy to address a transgender woman in whatever form she prefers, but I would not be happy to compete against her. It would not be fair.”

An openly gay, world renowned champion was excoriated by the LGBTQ community. Athlete Ally provided a statement that in part read,

Martina Navratilova’s recent comments on trans athletes are transphobic, based on a false understanding of science and data, and perpetuate dangerous myths that lead to the ongoing targeting of trans people through discriminatory laws, hateful stereotypes and disproportionate violence.”

Imagine the strength of conviction these three young women must possess to endure the public onslaught headed their way? I hope they find support during these tumultuous times.

Legislation Might Be Tricky

According to a January 10th article by “Outsports, a group supporting LGBTQ issues in athletics,

Alabama joins New Hampshire, Washington, Georgia, Tennessee and Missouri to become the sixth state actively seeking restrictions on transgender student athletes.”

Those aforementioned “restrictions” are generally making the student athlete participate on the team that matches their assigned birth gender. The testosterone producing person will be expected to compete against other testosterone producing people. It’s a “restriction” based in reality. But we no longer operate in reality or facts. Our society runs on “feelings” and emotional responses producing reckless legislation. C’mon, take a deep breath ladies and gentlemen. Let’s pass something with teeth and based in logic. Our girls deserve more than lip service, and reactive politics.

Wrap-up

We live in a time that the Sports Illustrated cover will feature a naked photo of the athlete formerly known as Bruce Jenner. His newly augmented, lifted, sculpted, and entirely unrealistic body will grace the cover. Standby for a naked Caitlyn Jenner. SI is already “woke”, but by putting a 70 year old on the cover, many of their readers will choke. Yet, it’s one more way that athletics is telling women to sit back, the boys have it under control. If they really want positive role models, I can think of three young women who are standing strong to fight the good fight for all natural born female athletes.

As a mother of two girls, I want to thank these young ladies. I’m raising strong girls, and they deserve to know that their hard work will see them competing against peers who don’t have a biologically produced advantage. Let girls have a level playing field.

Edit: the text XX and XY were incorrectly applied to males  and females. Update corrected the error. -NC

    Narcissi,

I agree with you that these girls are courageous in ways the adults overseeing them should be, and I hope they are completely successful in their suit, but I’m not sure I agree with you when you say “Yet, it’s one more way that athletics is telling women to sit back, the boys have it under control.”..
Certainly that is one of the outcomes of such policies, but honestly, I think it’s just one more example of the fact that the left does not create ANYTHING, it just destroys… And always remember, the left hates men, so they wouldn’t try to elevate them over women.. (in the broad sense, in a one on one situation, sure)
Look at the whole “gay marriage” fiasco. They did not offer a new definition of marriage, they just destroyed the old (true) one of one man and one woman. The left is like a plague of locusts, and anything they touch will turn to crap..

I can only sit back and laugh. I would like to believe in Tradcons, but cannot. This is the society that woman have made.

“Three young girls” vs “three young women”. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. No high school student should ever be described as a “young girl”, which conjures mental images of 3-year-olds, pink tutus, and teddy bears.

Not long after the Manchester bombing, I saw someone refer to 24 year old Ariana Grande as a “girl”. Here was an adult woman surviving in a cut-throat industry and making it to the top, and some twit called her a “girl”.

In an article about women losing their place in the world, at least show them the respect of not calling them “little girls”.

    • Scott says:

18 is generally considered the minimum age for adulthood, therefore anyone under that is a girl, or a boy, over that a man or a woman.. So in that light, yes, Ms. Grande should have been referred to as a woman.. at the same time, boy and girl are often used as synonyms for male and female.. if everyone would get over themselves and lighten up a bit, this would not be an issue.

These young ladies are teenagers. A time when their rooms have MAC cosmetics and childhood teddy bears. They are both young women and still young girls. If you have teen girls you know what I mean. Therefore, I understand your point, but remain steadfast in using both terms.
Were they pre-pubescent, I would use the word “child.”

Regardless of the descriptive language applied to them, they are incredibly brave to do this.

“Life was less complicated when XX and a penis meant boy, and XY with a vagina meant girl. ” Um…that should be XY with a penis is a boy, and XX with a vagina is a girl. Unless I misread what you wrote…

An article “Guidelines for the Destruction of Female Sport” written in October 2019 and published in Quadrant Online [Australia] is of interest. It was written by “Dr John Whitehall [who] is Professor of Paediatrics at a Sydney university. He has written several articles for Quadrant on childhood gender dysphoria”.

The obvious conclusion to all this is to no longer have female and male categories in sport. There is one soccer team and the best athletes get to play, male or female. This also fixes the pay issue the US women raised. Those women good enough to make the team get paid the same as men.

There would no longer be women and men’s 100, 200, 400, etc meter track events, they would be mixed. Let the best man, or women, win. This is all the logical conclusion of gender study insanity that insists that gender is all just a social construct.

It’s worth pointing out that, for years, Gay rights activists told us that we have to be sensitive to the feelings and experiences of Gays and Lesbians, because Straight people have no idea the kind of hardships that they go through in their lives… But now that a sizable portion of lesbians are speaking out against transgenderism, all of the sudden their feelings and experiences don’t matter, and they are being dismissed as haters just like religious Christians who opposed Gay rights based on their religious beliefs….. This Cultural Marxist bait and switch incrementalist hypocrisy is a classic example of Alinsky’s famous line that “the issue is never the issue, the issue is always the revolution”

  • jabrwok says:

Those aforementioned “restrictions” are generally making the student athlete participate on the team that matches [his natural sex].

    FIFY.

I am really torn on this one. Yes it is hideous what is happening to women–but DAMN you have been BEGGING for this with your non-stop abuse and demonization and victimizing of men for the last 40 odd years. My instincts are 100 per cent on my side but after all you have utterly callously done to men, to society, and to me personally, it’s hard to avoid a “you’ve made your beds enjoy lying in them” attitude.

    • DeNihilist says:

Yup, same here. I will support this when women support no females in male sports. Around here more females are playing boys football, hockey, soccer, baseball, etc. every year. This of course is considered “fair”, except for the boys who now have lost a spot.

Try putting your son on a girls soccer squad. No way that is ever going to happen.

The only mixed sport that I have ever had my sons in, that actually worked, was Ringette. And only because of the structure of the rules. One person cannot dominate this game.

      • My kids participate in Krav Maga. Sparring is determined by height/weight/ability. Obviously a more advanced participant can relay that as an advantage over the size of the opponent. Don’t care what they look like… a well placed kick is going to take them down. 😉

  • Arnold Williams says:

As shown on “RuPaul’s Drag Race”, drag queens can look better than most women, even more feminine (e.g. https://youtu.be/-xUXyYjXQKw ). Does that mean we let them in the “Miss America” contest? Nonsense. Just as having teenage boys compete in girls’ sports is nonsense.
