Kirsten Gillibrand Joins Democrat Hypocrite Club

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand just joined a clique which seems to be growing ever larger: the Democrat Hypocrite Club. Its members, of course, have been caught speaking out of both sides of their mouths. And what’s really amusing is watching them squirm in traps of their own making.

You know how Gillibrand let everyone know what a champion of women she is? How she told America that Brett Kavanaugh should never become a Supreme Court justice because we must Believe All Women? Even though the sexual assault charges against him were flimsy at best?

“This stops when we value all people — women and men who are harassed — and when we listen, believe them, and create a system in which justice is possible.”

And from a Gillibrand Facebook ad:

“Our campaign is confronting the toxic culture of sexism and misogyny in our political system. We’re fighting for women to be heard. We’re fighting to be valued.”

On top of that, Kirsten Gillibrand spent last summer pushing Congress to fix the “broken” way it handles sexual harassment.

Well, about that Champion for All Women thing. . .

We now find out that Kirsten Gillibrand has some ‘splainin’ to do. And it concerns one of her closest aides: Abbas Malik, an Iraqi war vet who served as Gillibrand’s driver. Her office changed his title to “military adviser,” but he mainly shlepped Gillibrand and her kids around.

It seems that Mr. Malik was, shall we say, somewhat of a cad towards one of Gillibrand’s aides, a 20-something woman ten years Malik’s junior. Moreover, Malik is also married.

The aide complained, but nothing happened.

So as a result, she resigned on August 30, writing a letter that outlined her accusations. And, unlike Christine Blasey Ford — Kavanaugh’s accuser — the aide had others who could corroborate her accounts.

Here, in part, is some of the letter the aide wrote:

“I trusted and leaned on this statement that you made: ‘You need to draw a line in the sand and say none of it is O.K. None of it is acceptable.’ Your office chose to go against your public belief that women shouldn’t accept sexual harassment in any form and portrayed my experience as a misinterpretation instead of what it actually was: harassment and ultimately, intimidation.”

But, no one from the Gillibrand staff responded to this letter. Let me show you my shocked face.

Gillibrand, of course, defends her office. Nothing to see here — we handled it! We’re good!

However, Gillibrand’s “inquiry” only went so far. It did not include former staffers who could absolutely corroborate the young aide’s allegations.

Here are some of the incidents the former staffers described:

  • • On one day last summer Malik made four unwanted sexual advances towards the aide who resigned.
  • • Malik also said that another woman “couldn’t get laid unless she was raped.”
  • • He called another female staffer “fat and unattractive” to her face.
  • • Malik also would regularly make crude comments about other women on staff, as well as new hires.

So what happened to Abbas Malik? Well, at first Gillibrand’s office revoked his expected promotion. They also moved his desk and reprimanded him.

Ooh! Harsh!

Moreover, the “investigation” decided that Malik really didn’t sexually harass anyone:

“Upon conclusion of the full and thorough investigation, it was determined that the evidence revealed employee misconduct that, while inappropriate, did not constitute sexual harassment.”

But the heat is on. So now Gillibrand finally has fired Abbas Malik — but not until a media outlet began working on the story.

Now I ask you: would a Republican senator get away with this? You know the answer to that one.

So with that Kirsten Gillibrand, champion of the MeToo movement, has joined the Democrat Hypocrite Club. The other names are familiar, too. Like Kamala Harris, for example. Her former senior adviser settled a $400K lawsuit for sexual harassment. And then there’s Sens. Tim Kaine and Dick Durbin who skirt the issue of VA Lt. Gov. Jason Fairfax and his sexual assault accusers. You know why — because Fairfax has the Big D after his name.

And how can we forget one of the most flagrant hypocrites of the Club: Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez? She wants Americans to lower their carbon footprints to practically nil while she rides in gas guzzlers.

“Do as I say, not as I do” seems to be the mantra of these phony-baloneys whose club seems to be growing at a pretty fast clip. In fact, it’s probably the fastest growing club on Capitol Hill.

“Abbas Malik, an Iraqi war vet”.. Just out of curiosity, which side did he fight on??? With an apparently islamic name, is anyone actually surprised that he treats women like shit??
” Kamala Harris, for example. Her former senior adviser settled a $400K lawsuit for sexual harassment.” and who also slept her way to where she is, don’t forget that part…

And AOC… what else can be said about her? Just waiting on the outcome of the FEC investigation…

All dims are hypocrites, the only difference is that some of them are more public about it.
