9/11: 23 Years Later

9/11: 23 Years Later

9/11: 23 Years Later

Most of us can remember exactly where we were and what we were doing on 9/11 in 2001. As we watched one of the largest attacks on American soil unfold before our eyes, many of us wondered: “how did we get here?”

We wondered if anything was ever going to be the same again. Our hearts hurt for those we lost on that day. The men and women who were working in One and Two World Trade Center on that clear September morning, who later jumped out of windows to escape the scorching heat. The First Responders who rushed up stairs to rescue people stuck on the top floors, who never made it out of those buildings alive. The innocent travelers and flight crews who boarded those planes who had idea they would never make it to their destination.

The phone calls of the tearful goodbyes ripped out our hearts, the bravery of some of these passengers, first responders and citizens gave us something to believe in, some hope for humanity. But the terror shook us to our core and rocked us as a nation. We hugged our loved ones tightly that night, and if we couldn’t hug them, we called them, in tears, trying to just make sense of it all.

We couldn’t make sense of it all. As a wife of a retired Marine who deployed several times for GWOT and retired to become a commercial airline pilot, I still find the above images hard to process.

Some of us are struggling to make sense of what is happening to our country now. We tried to make sense of the last few years where up was down, right was left, the sky wasn’t blue. We watched last night’s debate, knowing our future is at stake. I am not going to lie and not say that I wish Kamala Harris choked and that Donald Trump came out the clear winner but this was not the case. The moderators were heavily biased. The media will continue to be heavily biased. There may have been a few missed opportunities on Trump’s behalf but, Trump nailed it in the end:

Why isn’t she doing something now?

Trump should have said this in the beginning, the middle and at the close of the debate. While moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis controlled the debate, leading Harris and “fact-checking” Trump in their smug, “journalistic” demeanor, the Democrats will reel in Kamala “vibes” on this somber day. It doesn’t make sense that the same people who won’t forget January 6th, the “biggest attack on our democracy”, have seemingly forgotten what happened 23 years ago on this day and what got us there.

Twenty three years ago, we were caught in moments of complicity and weakness. Twenty three years ago, we were taken off-guard by foreigners who violated immigration laws and turned our planes into bombs and attacked us from within. We allowed these terrorists into our home. They received their education on our soil. They carried out their utter disdain for everything we stand for by their horrific acts and took a bunch of innocent, hard-working Americans with them, on our soil.

They crossed our borders.

The Democrats and the media who rally behind them, want Americans to forget. The Democrats and the media who rally behind them want those who don’t remember to not even try to understand the truth. These hijackers, who killed almost 3,000 people, may not have come in through the southern border but they came in. Their supporters, who live here celebrated in the streets of New Jersey as buildings crumbled, people perished and lower Manhattan turned into a war zone.

Vice President of The United States, Kamala Harris, the woman who wants to be president, was given ONE job at the beginning of the Biden/Harris administration. On Day One, and years beyond, this woman has done nothing to protect our borders from terrorists getting through them. But, CNN and their smug, scoffing cronies, will continue to “fact check” and tell the masses that there were “no terrorist attacks during the Biden/Harris years”. Nothing to see here:

And if it were really the case that jihadist terrorists were pouring across America’s southern border during the past three years as Trump claimed, wouldn’t there have been, you know, some terrorist attacks in the US as a result? Or, at the very least, a lot more terrorists being arrested in the US during that same time frame?”-Peter Bergen, CNN

I have two words for Peter Bergen but won’t say them. What Bergen and the liberal media whitewash is the fact that terrorism looks different than it did 23 years ago. Overflowing our cities with criminals who bring in drugs and human trafficking are indeed taxing our infrastructure and posing an existential threat to Americans. I will say this again: Kamala Harris was given the job of preventing this from happening.

She. Did. Nothing.

In President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas’ America, border security and immigration enforcement have become a punchline. There’s literally no one President Biden won’t turn away—including illegal aliens from problematic countries smuggled in by networks connected to ISIS. Every alarm is flashing red, and my committee has long warned that this administration’s open-borders agenda is bringing bad actors into the homeland in droves. DHS has now admitted yet again that this is true. This is unacceptable, preventable, and absolutely terrifying. True leaders would have accepted responsibility, adjusted their policies, and stepped aside for those who will enforce the laws they swore to uphold. Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats also own this catastrophe—they had the chance to remove Secretary Mayorkas, yet broke with centuries of precedent and refused to even hold an impeachment trial. The Biden administration and its congressional enablers have failed the American people.”-Homeland Security Republicans</

Then there’s this:

A Pakistani citizen residing in Canada, Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, 20, also known as Shahzeb Jadoon, was arrested on Sept. 4 in Canada in connection with a complaint filed in the Southern District of New York. Khan was charged with attempting to provide material support and resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization (FTO), the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS).”-U.S. Department of Justice, Department of Affairs

Let’s not forget about our dear college students, some of them not even born until well after 9/11/2001, terrorizing college campuses domestically by siding with Hamas. Some of their tenured professors were alive on that fateful day. They have willingly turned a blind eye and have forgotten. The same American flags that were displayed in an overwhelming sense of patriotism post 9/11 are burned and trampled in disgusting displays of loyalties to terrorists. Some, if not most of these terrorists, will throw these very students off of buildings for their ideologies.

Over the next few weeks, Democrats and the media will run on fumes and the fragrance of the “good vibes” while ignoring the facts that terrorists are still trying to come in through our borders. Joe Biden empowered Kamala Harris to stop this, all of this.

She. Did. Nothing.

And she will continue to do nothing. She says she “has plans” but if her “plan” is anything like we have seen over the last three years, it is only a matter of time that there will be another attack from within. It may not be as sudden as 9/11 but it will happen. Inevitably, some people will do something. It can be argued that it is already happening except this time, it’s not a sudden destruction but more of a slow and painful death.

Our media headlines today will discuss a “contentious” debate thrown in with how a spoiled-her-whole-life, entitled, brathole-poptart who was only 12 years old in 2001, rallies behind BRAT, Kamala Harris. This will be our “news” today. Sure, they will mention 9/11 because they have to. But this day of infamy will be sidelined in favor of the glory of Kamala Harris and Taylor Swift’s ringing endorsement. If that does not tell anyone how far from glory we have fallen and about what we have in store for the next few years, I honestly don’t know what will.

9/11, 23 years later, cannot become just a bad, sidelined memory. We lost so much on that day and I fear that we will continue to lose more. This day must reside forever in our minds and at the forefront as we move forward in deciding the fate of our country in the next few months. Some may choose to forget but we never will. Here are a few reminders on this solemn day. Let the memory of the heroism and great American spirit live on in our hearts.

I haven’t commented on this blog since being called “internet stolen valor guy” by some dipshit . But I will today. RIP Capt Gerald DeConto , who died at the Pentagon on 9/11, he was one of my XO’s on one of the ships in which I served , the USS Lake Erie – CG70 . He was a very cool officer and by all accounts a great XO. I remember you fondly Sir , may your family have peace today and know that a great many sailors served with pride under him and gained greatness through his tutelage .

They have security and live in the good parts of town. This won’t affect them in the least and they get to bask in the glow of diversity.

It will fade away like Remember The Alamo.

“how did we get here?” By allowing the deep state to flourish, and the leftists infest all levels of society and government. It started at least with the “progressive” Woodrow Wilson, who was a big supporter of Hitler and his fangirl Margaret Sanger. It progressed to FDR and Truman who had more commies in their admins than ou could shake a stick at. Next was the ridicule heaped on Senator McCarthy, who was on the right track, ad going after the right people. Then we allowed the vietnam protestors to become the college professors, spreading their poison to young skulls full of mush. Add in LBJ and his ” I’ll have these N!@@#rs voting democrat for the next 100 years” comment / plan, and you have a recipe for disaster. Also, lets not forget Senator Al Gore ridiculing Oliver North for saying that Osama Bin Laden was the most dangerous man in the world.. (that didn’t age well, but he was NEVER held to account for it), and it’s not surprising that 9/11 happened. Even worse is that the short wakeup that most of the nation experienced that day was rapidly and intentionally destroyed, with ideas like “watching videos of, or talking about those events just engenders racism” and other equally stupid tropes, and we’re now in an even worse position than we were on 9/10..

    I wish I was wrong.
