When Will The Campus Protests End?

No matter how many times I see a Jewish student being denied entrance to classes on a college campus or hear threats against Jews shouted through a megaphone and repeated by idiots, I still get angry. Against the advice of the Washington Post, the Administrations on these campuses are going to have to end the tent cities and turn off the wifi. The anti-Semitism at the universities is just going to get worse.

A couple days ago, our Deanna wrote about the hateful cherubs at the universities having consequences. Last night, the Washington Post posted a column by Petula Dvorak. I only read a couple of Dvorak’s pieces, but she seems to have a heart for anyone who hates civilization. Last night’s post was: “D.C. police just schooled a university on freedom of speech rights”. The police did nothing. Le sigh.

“This activity has remained peaceful,” a D.C. police spokesperson said, explaining why there have been no arrests at the George Washington University campus, despite the administration’s request for backup.

So far, at least 900 people have been arrested on U.S. campuses during protests over Israel’s actions in Gaza. And in nearly every case, the demonstrations were peaceful and nonviolent until law enforcement showed up.

The only action that may have seemed justifiable was at Northeastern University, where police cleared an encampment after reports that “Kill the Jews” was yelled at a demonstration, though there were conflicting reports on where the hate speech came from.

For the most part, the headlines are “Protesters and Police clash on Pitt’s campus” and “Police crackdown leads to hundreds of arrests.”

Not “Protesters set fire, hurt people and then police were called.”

When the folks at GWU tried to get D.C. police — a force with plenty of legit action to keep them busy around the rest of the city — to break up what looked more like a street fair on campus last week, the police said “no thanks” and kept a low-key presence close by.

I suppose this is what Petula wants to avoid:

Poor Professor McAfee. My heart bleeds for her…NOT. The campus police warned her. McAfee didn’t step back. She deserved more than a notice to appear. If the guy who spit at the cop is a student, his folks are paying $63K so that he can spit at cops. But Petula wants the cops to just stand there. Here is more:

In most cases, universities are calling police because they have decided that the students who spend major bucks to study on their verdant lawns are now trespassers.

“Their encampment at the plaza does not interfere with the regular operations of the university in any way,” said Dane Kennedy, a professor emeritus of history and international affairs who took part in antiwar protests at the University of California at Berkeley in the 1970s.

“I applaud the D.C. police for refusing to intervene,” he said. “By the same token, I’m appalled and embarrassed that GW’s administration has expelled peaceful student protesters. It sends a really shameful message about its disdain for students’ rights.”

The professors have knowledge that students are trying to gain. These students come to the campus to receive the knowledge from the professors. The Administrators of the University have rules and codes of conduct that the students must conform to in order to remain a student in good standing at the University. Maybe they don’t expect high standard, good grades or commons, garden variety manners these days.

The universities each must provide a safe campus with ingress/egress for students or they could be sued for their last dollar. This student at UCLA paid the same amount as the fellows keeping him out of school.

Did you see the Campus Security Guard there? Across the country at Virginia Commonwealth University, here is what it looked like last night.

Virginia Governor Youngkin said earlier yesterday that there would be no tent cities on Virginia campuses. The Liberated Zone for Gaza was then set up. Police were called in and attacked. It was quiet last night about 10p.m. Eastern on campus.

Petula would work well with Brown Shirts on the campuses. I don’t think these idiots have a clue about this complex foreign policy. Our Deanna was right…more consequences.

This is what happens when you do nothing, Petunia…I mean Petula:

Expel and arrest every one of them! (too bad that the cops in this case aren’t being as aggressive as those at the capitol on Jan 6th.. interesting how the media never called out those officers for “instigating violence”…)
This is what happens when the protestors from the 60’s faced minimal consequences, and ended up running the colleges they were protesting back then (because they have no skills that are useful in the real world, only in academia). As if we needed more proof that colleges do anything more than indoctrinate… None of these protestors has clue one about anything. They are happily supporting those who rape and murder women and children, and even microwaved babies… but then again, for decades, they’ve been told it’s not only ok, but “brave ” to murder your own pre-born child, so this is the logical progression of that mindset..

    Strong men make easy times
    Easy times make weak men
