By now, nearly everyone who has spent a few minutes scrolling through the news feeds is very aware of the Keith Lamont Scott shooting in Charlotte, NC yesterday afternoon and the violent reaction that Toni outlined here.
As I’ve noted in several places, those who spent last night trashing a Walmart, shutting down I 85, throwing bricks and rocks at cars, torching buildings and vehicles, and stealing cargo from semi trucks blockaded on the interstate are by no means “protestors.” No, they are CRIMINALS.
All of this started because of an incident involving a man getting shot by police yesterday afternoon. And the criminally violent reaction by the so-called “protestors” is ok, because Keith Lamont Scott was just innocently reading a book. He was? Really?

This essentially throws the narrative espoused by the lovely folks with Black Lives Matter along with the criminal protestors right out the window.

Ouch. But she’s right. Once again people dove off a cliff like lemmings after leaping to wrongheaded conclusions. Unfortunately for those criminal lemmings, those pesky facts say something COMPLETELY different.

Not a book hmmm? So he wasn’t holding one of these?
Instead he was holding something along the lines of this.
See any similarities between the two? Yeah, I didn’t think so. And before anyone tries to say Scott wasn’t holding his book gun at any time during the encounter… about that.
One other thing just got clarified: #keithlamontscott had a handgun 2nd time he exited his car, not the first time, CMPD says

For those who are saying the cops didn’t tell Scott to drop his weapon? Might want to rethink that.

Curses! The narrative got foiled again! But that won’t matter to those who have been enjoying their criminal “protest” rampage around the city.
They’ll likely continue to do the same tonight because the latest facts weren’t what they wanted to hear. Which certainly won’t make things any easier for the Charlotte PD, especially since the number of cops hospitalized with injuries has gone from 12 to 16 as of the press briefing this morning.
Make no mistake, anyone getting shot is never a good thing. But as with Ferguson, Baltimore, Baton Rouge, and now Charlotte, the facts and the unfortunate choices of the person who was shot continues to destroy the ‘cops are bad!’ narrative.
It’s what George W. called “the soft bigotry of low expectations.” Expecting certain people to behave in certain ways because of their race, gender, sexual preference, etc. IS racist/sexist/etc. And Obama/Clinton/the Left in General all condone this.
BTW: It’s also domestic terrorism. And they should be charged accordingly.
Make no mistake, anyone getting shot is never a good thing.
I’m less and less enamored of that statement the more of this stupidity goes on. Definitely feeling like a little kinetic energy poisoning could go a long way to stopping this crap.
I also would love to see some posses (in the ancient sense of that term) protecting these places from the reavers. Well-armed posses. (Take back your citizenship, folks.)
Brace yourself, carry cocked and locked. The barbarians roam free under the protection of BLM and their plantation masters.
