Walz And Lapdog MN Media Cover Up $9 Billion Somali Fraud

The MN media and Tim Walz want you to know there’s ‘nothing to see here, move along dammit!’ They don’t want anyone to know the scope and extent of the fraud in Minnesota that has seen upwards of $9 billion or more stolen from American taxpayers.

The Minnesota Star Tribune has taken the media lead on covering up all the fraud. They literally put up a story earlier in the week stating the fraud accusations ‘need context.’ Yes, really.

This is the same media organization that is helmed by Tim Walz’s former Commissioner of Employment, Steve Grove. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that the Star Tribune is not only ignoring this massive fraud now, they’ve been ignoring it for over ten years now as Powerline’s Scott Johnson has consistently documented.

It’s a little more difficult for the Star Tribune and Tim Walz to ignore the latest news.

Federal prosecutors unveiled charges Thursday against another six people, accusing them of defrauding public assistance programs in Minnesota — including two men they allege traveled to the state for that express purpose.

The latest indictments add fuel to a scandal that has now led to charges against more than 90 people who have been accused, and in many cases convicted, of bilking hundreds of millions of dollars from the Midwestern state, putting Gov. Tim Walz’s administration in the hot seat and drawing attacks from President Trump.

Thursday’s charges focus on housing assistance and autism services. And the pandemic-era food aid fraud case that set off the scandal is still brewing.

Read that again. People from OTHER states went to Minnesota to learn how to scam money from federal and state programs and take those lessons back home to their states. In this case it’s Pennsylvania.

The MN state programs, that were a pass through of federal money, gave the men from Philadelphia a “good opportunity to make money.”

Folks, we are at $9 billion and counting in Minnesota alone! But Tim Walz and his media buddies don’t want anyone to know how deep the rot and fraud is. He’d rather punish whistleblowers for speaking out than face the music of what happened on his watch.

Especially given that Aimee Bock was not only the head of Feeding Our Future, she was handing out monetary reimbursements to fake food sites. And when anyone, especially from Minnesota’s Department of Education asked questions, she accused them of racism.

She would soon preside over a network that claimed to have served 91 million meals, for which prosecutors say the scammers fraudulently received nearly $250 million in federal funds, a scale of growth that far outpaced the nonprofit’s pre-pandemic size and internal capacity. Later filings and sentencing releases described the total impact as closer to $300 million.

The Department of Justice also introduced slides showing emails and communications in which Bock accused the MDE of racism when regulators questioned suspicious claims. In 2021, when the MDE grew suspicious and tried to stop the flow of funds, Feeding Our Future sued, alleging racial discrimination. A judge ordered an injunction blocking the state from terminating Feeding Our Future as a sponsor, after which reimbursements — a ruling that prosecutors said enabled the scheme to escalate.

At least she was convicted. Yet, as we’ve come to learn through the efforts of Powerline and others, the fraud was much more extensive than we knew.

Tim Walz DID know about the fraud issues. During the Feeding Our Future case, he tried to blame Ramsey County District Court Judge John H. Guthmann for being a roadblock. Judge Guthmann was so ticked off at that, he issued a VERY public statement.

On February 26, 2022, the Star Tribune reported on a federal investigation of FOF. The article included the following false statement: “In April 2021, Ramsey County District Judge John Guthmann told the department it didn’t have the authority to stop payments and ordered the department to resume payments.” Since February, that Star Tribune quote has been repeated or paraphrased on many occasions by many other media outlets. The same media sources reported that, in her April 4, 2022, testimony to the Minnesota Senate, the Commissioner of the Education stated that the MN Department of Education tried to stop payments to FOF, only to be ordered by Judge Guthmann to resume payments. That is false. Then, when federal indictments were announced this week, many new reports were published. On September 22, 2022, Governor Tim Walz told the media that the Minnesota Department of Education attempted to end payments to FOF because of possible fraud, but that Judge Guthmann ordered payments to continue in April 2021. That is also false.

So both Tim Walz and the Star Tribune KNEW that fraud was rampant and publicly lied about it. Lovely that.

Yet to this day, Tim Walz and the MN media are demanding that we ignore the $9 billion and counting elephants in the room. Because racism, being mean, etc etc.

So, according to Tim Walz, the evidence of fraud currently presented has been rigged because Trump and weaponization of the DOJ. Timmy is really good at ignoring reality isn’t he? So is his attorney general, Keith Ellison.

Boy howdy, that rake left a mark.

Here’s a question for our readers. Tim Walz is running for a third term. What should his campaign slogan be? Here’s an idea:

“Vote For Me, Fraud King! I’ll Keep Your Gravy Train Flowing!”

    $9 Billion – Wow. Are you behind the count.

    Just think – if the 81 million votes (not saying “voters” is intentional) had shown up in 2024:
    MN Gov. Flappy Hands Waltz would be V.P. (and likely MN AG Ellison would be either Gov or US Attorney) and you would never have heard of any of this and there would have been no Feeding Our Future prosecutions (since “RAYCISM!”), or investigation of to apparently widespread MN Medicaid fraud or investigations kicking off in Ohio, Illinois or Colorado (since investigating Somali non-profits is “Raycist!”);
    There would have been no investigation of DC Police Chief Smith’s cooking the books on crime in the Capitol (because Raycism! and “Sextism!”);
    The response to the So Cali fires and Slo Motion Permitting for rebuilding (and, upcoming emptying of the reservoirs before the next fire season) would be unreported because Raycism!, Sectism! , LGBTQism! and Gov Brylcreem looks too good to embarrass;
    That over 300K uncertified votes in Georgia were counted in tha 2020 Pres Election (in which Biden took the state and its 16 Electoral College votes by less than 12,000 notes) would have not been investigated because former Pres Trump and friends were being prosecuted for asking the GA Sec of State to investigate voting and vote counting irregularities;
    Venezuela would still be our buddies and “fishing boats” would still be speeding from there to the US;
    And Iran would have completed its assembly of peaceful nuclear warheads.

    You wouldn’t know so many things that the alphabet media doesn’t report since such facts would probably upset you.
